Pixi On-The-Glow Blush and Lip Glow Review

 

On my to-try list for so long are the Pixi On-The-Glow Blush Tinted Moisture Sticks because I am a fan of their Bronzers!  

Thankfully, Pixi was kind enough to send these products for me to try and test and I'll share you my thoughts on these.

Shade: Cherry

On stick it looks bright red that appears to be scary to be applied straight on cheeks.  But a single swipe will give off a natural flush, for the swatch above, I had to apply and reapply approximately 3-4 times with pressure to get that pigment. 

I personally like how it gives color and glow!  It has good staying power and it lasts if set properly with a powder blush or a translucent setting powder.  Since I have dry skin, it tends to dry up upon swatch and would be a bit tacky for me to be able to blend properly so I have to work fast.  If you have the same skin type as I do, I highly recommend to apply this on top of cream/liquid products, once you have powder on, it is harder to blend and you might end up with a few demarcation marks.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, make sure to moisturize the area if you have dry skin.  Oily skinned gals?  You won't have to worry about these issues and you don't have to worry about your skin looking oily as it will set matte.

Wearable Strawberry Makeup Look

It has been going round the beauty community a cute look that focuses on the cheeks.  A beautiful flushed cheeks and bright lips I name it Strawberry Makeup since I am a fan of Strawberry Shortcake and I remember putting her blush and lip color when I was younger.

Here's my wearable version any age can rock!

For this look, I focus on a super clean base so the blush and lip color will pop.  I used a neutral shade for eye makeup and made sure to highlight my cheeks.

Pixi on-The-Glow Bronze Beach Glow and Warm Glow Review

 

With my current hand situation of eczema, I love using stick products that do not require me to apply things using my hands!  From sunblock to bronzer/highlighter sticks!

Pixi Beauty is back in my top favorite makeup brand game when I tried their On-The-Glow Bronze in Beach Glow and Warm Glow.

These can be categorized as bronzer, highlighter, illuminating product or just a face enhancer!  Beach Glow looks a bit unnatural on me in person so I had to be careful in application, 1-2 swipes are enough on each cheek and I have to make sure to blend it properly and it would warm up my face naturally.

Warm Glow on the other hand appears very light and hard to catch with naked eye!  I had to apply around 3-4 swipes to have this appear on photo but given the choice, I LOVE this more than Beach Glow.  This shade is like NARS Orgasm 10x notched down.

Both appears natural and almost similar on photo but the difference is light and day in person.  If I wanted "warmth" on my skin, I would reach out for Beach Glow and I like using Warm Glow as a cream blush before powder blush application.  My blush lasts longer that way.

Overall, the product is amazing in terms of packaging, the quality of the stick, how the product glides so easily even on dry skin and how it makes my cheeks appear healthier and more hydrated.  I think I have to revisit the review with their ON-the-Glow Blushers instead as I am a fan of blush and I would appreciate heavier pigment.

Subtle, natural, no-makeup makeup look KEY product are the keywords to the Pixi Beauty On-The-Glow Bronze !

Pixi GelTint & SilkGloss Review

Ohhh so I skipped a Monday Lip post so I'm going for "Better late than never!" 

Happy Tuesday and here's my favorite lip duo especially during our Staycation!  A perfect travel lip product that is versatile and can work on any clothing, best of all, it works for all skin tones!

Here's the Pixi GelTint & SilkGloss and I got the shade BerryTint & SweetGloss (Php690.00). 

The BerryTint is meant to be applied underneath and the SweetGloss on top, but, you can also wear them on its' own and it works better for me nevertheless.  I like to use BerryTint underneath and SilkGloss for constant reapplication just because it is more hydrating for my dry lips.

Look fresh and fab everyday! Nothing beats simple stained lips with lip gloss on top!

I am always scared of skincare that seems to treat my skin harshly, because, is there peeling that is safe?

So I have been a fan of Glowing Skin since the start of 2018!  I don't even mind putting facial oils in my foundation to achieve that glowing skin look!

Pixi By Petra Cat Eye Ink Review

I use liners as often as I use Brow products which means - Every time I leave home!

I have tried so many liners (well I tried so many beauty products) for the past decade and I can't help but get amazed on how there's always something NEW to offer from various brands!

A must mention is from Pixi by Petra called Cat Eye Ink Liquid Eye Liner.  I assume, this is specifically made for cat-eye look lovers out there?

Pixi By Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen in Graphic Greige Review

I have reviewed so many Pixi By Petra products in the past and one reason that made me love the brand is that most of their products are paraben-free, mineral oil-free, preservative-free and not tested on animals.  And the best part?  Most of the products I've tried and reviewed from the said brand got thumbs up from me!

There was actually a "delay" in review of this one particular Pixi By Petra product on my part because of the tiny seal of approval from "Top-Tested Beauty Awards" (See it in pink on box?).  Well, if it got that seal, it must be good!  So I actually didn't challenge the said product until I ran out of smudge-proof, waterproof and smear-proof eye pencil.

I got the shade Graphic Greige for review and this is surprisingly a unique yet perfect shade for those who dislike to wear black eyeliner especially during daytime.

Does Pixi By Petra Lower Lash Mascara Work?

Yes, even on someone who has less than 10 lower lash hairs.

No, I'm not joking, you'll see it after the jump!  Embarrassing to admit, but it's TRUE.  

The Pixi by Petra Lower Lash Mascara was available locally since late last year!  It took me awhile and a whole lot of thinking to test this because I NEVER apply mascara on my lower lashes because I have NONE!

BUT, the good thing about this is that, it does not only work as a Lower Lash Mascara, I actually got away using this on my upper lashes and this is why it works on me and for those who have the same issues as I do.

I've reviewed a couple of Pixi By Petra products in the past and I'm quite amazed how this simple brand in simple mint green packaging can really catch my attention.  How?  With innovative products that you think you've had enough off (or probably don't need) but end up liking/loving them just because of the way it appears on your skin.

And these 2 products are no exemption!  They were on top of my makeup station for quite some time but I don't have this urge to really test them out until I sat down, fixed all the "to review makeups" in the bin and found these and decided to use both together.

During application, I was thinking at the back of my head : "What the heck?  Both products doesn't do anything for me!"  NOT UNTIL I saw this photo taken by Mr. AMW with me wearing both products together.  Okay, I look younger no?  And oh yeah, my skin looks extremely nice and healthy!  And mind you, I contoured there using the multibalm and it doesn't look like I had any contouring products on!  What do you think?

Sheer Cheek Gel For Fair skin!

Two years ago, I reviewed my first Pixi by Petra Sheer Cheek Gel in Flushed!  I mentioned there are a total of 2 shades to choose from and Flushed is actually a nice colored cheek stain that can be used by fair to dark complexion!  They are build-able, easy to apply and feels oh-so-good!

To some, they are still scared to use such shade based from the color on tube so here I am, two years after, ready to share to you the perfect shade for light to medium complexion!

The Pixi by Petra Sheer Cheek Gel in Rosy!

Rosy looks pretty bright on packaging but in reality, upon application, it lives up to its name --- sheer!  With the similar consistency as the Flushed shade, it has a gel-like texture that feels like liquid upon application and finishes off matte on cheeks!  

Beauty Lab Bohktoh + Nippon: Nongchat in Manila!

When it comes to Make Up Artistry, I am one firm believer that there will always be room for learning, there will always be room for improvement.

So when I learned Thai's Top Make Up Artist Nongchat is coming to Manila for a ONE DAY workshop/masterclass, I knew I had to be there.  Thanks to Nippon Esthetics and Bohktoh for sending me an exclusive invite.

The long wait was finally over, the day arrived but the bad news is, I was really sick and the weather wasn't even cooperating!  Arming myself with 101% willpower, I knew I can't miss the chance of the lifetime so I went.

The event was held at The Green Sun Hotel and you wouldn't believe how early my fellow makeup artists were!  The workshop starts at 9:00am and I arrived quarter to 8:00am and the place was almost packed with make up artists buzzing with excitement.  I almost forgot I was sick when I arrived there!

Pixi H2O Skintint Tinted Face Gel Review

Happy Friday!  Today, I will be reviewing a Tinted Face Gel from Pixi called H2O Skintint!  I didn't know why I didn't pick this up even when it's right in front of me for the past months!  I guess, I'm not the tinted moisturizer gal!  I've always been into concealer and powder foundation  especially during summer!

It was one fine "dry-skin" day that I've decided to test Pixi's H2O Skintint and I realized I've been missing out a lot!

Pixi By Petra Natural Contour Powder is Indeed Very Natural!

Do you want a contour powder that is very subtle yet noticeable in a very natural way?
I've found one!  The Pix by Petra Natural Contour Powder is indeed very effective as a contour shade regardless of skin tone.  For just one shade, this product can actually work!  All you need to do is know the "right" amount to apply depending on your skin tone and you'll be sculpted in no time!
