Dermatory Azulene Rescue Gauze Pad Review

After a decade of Blogging, I can't believe I will be writing something really new to me!  A product I never thought exist and a product that really works for me!

When this product dropped on my lap one fine day, I just took one look at it and kind of set it aside.  Why?  A "Rescue Gauze Pad"?  Is it like a product for oily skin?  For acne-prone skin?  Is this product used for exfoliation?  Will this even work for my dry and sensitive skin?

You can't blame me for being "Judgemental", that's all the information I got from this box!

I was actually brave enough to use this immediately eventhough I have doubts inside my head.  And that first use blew my mind and I am seriously adding this in my skincare regimen (Day and Night) because I am SEEING RESULTS!

First order of business, what is this product?

To those who don't know, Dermatory is a sister brand of CLIO and Peripera so you'll find them at Club Clio stores in Metro Manila.  This brand specifically caters to allergy-prone and sensitive skin types which is a huge YES for me!  I've found a lot of skincare brands that said to work for "Sensitive" skin but seldom do I find a product that tries to "treat" sensitive skin!  HORAY FOR US!

Azulene line (according to my research) uses chamomile-derived azulene as its primary ingredient and this ingredient helps soothe and heal damaged and irritated skin!  There's also Allantoin line which helps strengthen the skin barrier through constant hydration and the best news I've read so far?  They are free from 20 toxic ingredients! (think about talc, artificial fragrance, benzoic acid, benzyl alcohol, etc...)

The product is housed in a tub and comes with a separate lid and "pincer".

To protect the product from drying out upon purchase, the product is actually sealed pretty well!  SO when you're ready to use it, remove sealer...

Be very careful in opening this because there's quite a lot of substance included inside.  I love how "soaked" each gauze pads are!

After use, make sure to put the lid immediately and press tight!  There's a space on the lid for you to keep the "pincer" --- thank God for that!  I almost ALWAYS lose the spatulas that comes in skincare products, great job for thinking about a "compartment" for it!

Now let's talk about the sterile gauze pad.  There are a total of 60 sheets and most of the time, I pinch 2 sheets so you have to be careful in handling them.

ONE gauze pad is ENOUGH for the whole face so you are supposed to use this for 1 full month if you use twice a day and 2 months if you use this once a day!

Once you get ONE pad, immediately close the lid and hold the gauze pad with very clean hands!  You will feel the pad soaked really wet and some of the substance may start dripping.  The substance are high-enrich cica essence which is the KEY in soothing our skin.

Just so you know, I use this like I would do for Toners or essences.  BUT, if you have extremely sensitive skin like allergic reactions on some areas, you may also use several pads and leave it on your face like mask sheets!  Leave it for a couple of minutes to "soothe" the area but for me, I use this as a "soothing agent" and "gentle exfoliator".  Why do I consider this an exfoliator?  Because the gauze pad has a rough surface on one side and I massage it on my skin gently to exfoliate excess dry skin and remove dirt and oil --- I can say this is one of the best exfoliator I've tried because I can immediately see how my skin BRIGHTEN UP (Photo to prove below!)

After FIRST USE!
As of writing, it has been more than a week of usage and I AM LOVING MY SKIN more and more!  I can see a healthy glow and my skin is hydrated all throughout the day!

Note from AMW: Can you see the glow on the sides of my forehead and my cheeks?

Great news is that, my skin did not turn extremely red from the gentle exfoliation, I also like to leave the other side of the bad on the sides of my nose where redness mostly occur and it actually does it job in reducing redness!  I am seriously happy with this product as you can see that big smile on my last photo!  (TRUE SMILE YAN!)

And, the best part is that, for those who are under treatment, you may ask your Dermatologist about it but I feel this is a great "soothing agent" for those with skin issues or those who are under treatment.

I am HONESTLY repurchasing this because I am addicted to the effect of this!  I used to stick to just my usual regimen after testing new products but this stays for real!

  2. I think angel factory has the same product too but I think this one much less mess free because of the tub packaging. Angel factory is packed in individual foil pack.
