When I attended the launch of Ultra HD's sister products, THIS product caught my eyes I immediately used and tested it out! It happened early May, I usually can voice out and say something about the product as early as 2 weeks after!
What took me so long?
Well, the Ultra HD Perfector is a sheer-to-medium skin tint, it's a skin tint so it must be easy to review! But, for some reason, this is one of the hardest product to review because I can't seem to put my finger into it --- do I like it? There are a couple of Pros but there are also Cons --- that's the reason why I returned the AMW Reviews format as seen below because if I didn't put it that way, you may see a LOT OF PARAGRAPHS and I'm sure your eyes won't like it! :P

AMW says ---
Pros
- Tube packaging.
- Has a natural finish.
- Lightweight, I don't feel a thing even if I piled on layer after layers.
- The product seems to adjust to your skin tone, I'm not sure if it's just me but on first application, it looks light but as the day goes by, it settles pretty well (and I'm not acidic!)
- Comes with SPF25.
- Buildable coverage. Can cover certain redness and dark spots.
- CAN blur out pores.
- Only 4 shades available in the Philippines while 10 shades in the US!
- Will settle into dry areas if you have dry patches like I do.
- Will also settle into pimple marks and acne spots if not applied properly.
- Coverage is not enough for those looking for fuller coverage base makeup.
Overall
A lightweight, natural-looking skin tint that gives a healthy glow.
Tips
- For other shades swatches, click HERE.
- After constant trial and error, the best way to apply this is not by using the fingertips as recommended by the brand. The best way to apply this is by using a damp sponge with a slow, pressing motion! This method gives me more coverage minus the dry, flaking skin.
- If you plan to use a primer underneath, make sure the primer COMPLETELY dries before applying the Make Up For Ever HD Skin Perfector because it will also show flakiness and dry patches (yes, even on users with oily skin!)
- Dry skin can get away not setting this product, oily skin needs to set this product.
- Use a separate concealer if you need more coverage.
Will I repurchase?
No. I am still an Ultra HD Foundation fan until this very moment.
To whom do I recommend this to?
Users with no skin issues and like a lightweight tint like that from a tinted moisturizer.
Where to purchase and how much?
At local Make Up For Ever counters priced at Php2,300.00.

Swatch: Shade 04
Has yellow undertone, while those with cooler undertone can go for 03!
Blended 04
Fingertip application is what was recommended but after constant testing, the best way to apply is by using a damp sponge. For the sake of showing you before and after shot, I applied using my fingertip for this particular photo.
Before and After
It looks like I'm not wearing anything AT ALL and I have nothing but soft, smooth, glowing skin. The only concern I have is how this cling onto my dry patches so it is best to prep the skin prior to application of the Ultra HD Skin Perfector.
Do you think you will want to try Ultra HD Skin Perfector from Make Up For Ever?
How do you like the effect on me?
Keep smilin'
It kind of reduce the redness around your nose but I think most cc cream can do it too.
ReplyDeleteyes, this is supposed to be like that of a CC cream :D
