Flormar Wet & Dry Compact Powder Review

Have you really tried using a 2-way foundation in 2 ways?
I usually don't!  But for this particular one from Flormar, I've used this both Wet and Dry and I have my final say!

Housed in a plain black matte packaging, I like it that it comes with a separate sponge compartment.  I got myself a Medium Caramel based from the shade on pan!  Thankfully, I picked the right shade!

Flormar Wet & Dry Compact Powder Says ---
The powder that can be use wet or dry according to the need provides a velvety smoothness and smooth look with its special formula, it is easy to apply with the silky texture, prevents the shine on the skin, covers skin defects such as pores and spots, stays on for a long time.

AMW says ---

Pros
  • Packaging.  Comes with separate sponge compartment.
  • Sponge can be used both wet and dry.
  • Smooth powder when used dry.
  • Flormar counters locally have testers so you really get to choose the right shade for you.
  • Lightweight, perfect for daily use.
  • Can be applied both wet and dry.  Dry application gives light to medium coverage while Wet application gives medium to medium heavy coverage.
  • Long-wearing.
  • Looks natural on skin.
  • Oil-free formula but does not dry out my dry skin even when used dry.
  • Price.

Cons
  • Same as post 2-way powder foundation, if you used the area "wet", it does not seem to work effectively dry.
  • Powder tends to fly away so much as they are not tightly packed.

Overall
A great 2-way powder foundation for all skin types!  It has good amount of oil control but thankfully, users with dry skin can still use this.

Tips
  • If you plan to use both ways, use half of the compact wet and keep the other side dry at all times.
  • Use dry on areas that does not need much coverage and apply "wet" on areas you like the product to act like a concealer.
  • The sponge is the best tool to use to prevent the product from flying around.  If I used a brush, it tends to be messy.
  • Wash the sponge before use and wash at least once or twice a week depending on how much you oil-up.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
2-way powder foundation users.  This actually works pretty well wet, it gives a good amount of coverage I can actually skip concealer.

Where to purchase and how much?
At local Flormar counters priced at Php449.00.

Shade: W05 Medium Caramel
Based from shade name, I was expecting medium caramel to be more on the darker side.  But this is actually a cool-tone shade.

Swatch:
Thankfully, even if it looks very cool-tone on packaging, this has a hint of yellow undertone that's why I can still work around with this shade.

For application, I prefer to apply wet only on the areas that needed more coverage (ex. undereye circles) and apply the rest dry.

Before and After

Can you see the coverage it gives on the sides of my nose and undereye circles?
I also like the natural effect.
