How To Have #ZeroWorries Life

Is that even possible?

As a human, there can't be ZERO WORRIES lalo na as a mom!

"Will my son be okay in school?"
"Will someone change his towel when he perspires?"
"Will he fight with his classmates today?"
"Will he gets cranky?"
"I hope he won't get hungry!"

Fellow mommies, I'm sure the list goes on!  As much as we try to control everything in our hands, we knew by heart that the challenges we face on day to day basis is actually (what they call) the joys of motherhood.  (Kaloka no?)

As to what Ms. Universe 2018 Catriona Gray would say: "There is a silver-lining the challenges we face!"  And that "silver lining" I see in motherhood is that, there are certain things WE CAN control.  Here are just some of the tips I learned along the way that works for me and I hope you'll share yours too by commenting below!

Invest in yourself
Happy You, Happy Family!
I know this is cliche but I used to have mom-guilt whenever I spend time for myself - a massage session, a facial or even a quick shopping trip makes me feel sad and agitated.  After a good conversation with my dear husband, I realized, I really needed to keep myself healthy and happy before I can look after the family!  And true enough, after investing more "me time" this year (friends, I invested on facials and gym sessions!),  I find myself getting more energetic, happier and friends even comment I look younger.

That's me without makeup!

Invest in your family's health
Even before we had Kyle, me and my husband are very particular when it comes to cleanliness in the household.  We love to clean our own bathroom and room to cleaning our own bathroom (my least favorite task!), we are the type of couple who would say: "We'd rather do it our own to assure cleanliness!"  So we love shopping for household cleaning products - that's our weird way of bonding!  *laughs*

Now, the most "looked after" part of our home is our kitchen.  We had upset stomach so many times with unclean bottles and utensils.  So we made it a point to stick to our most trusted brand --- Joy Dishwashing Liquid.   I have been a Joy Dishwashing Liquid user for so long even my yaya would automatically pick it up as part of our weekly grocery shopping list!

I cook a lot (you can see them in my stories!), and I dislike seeing piles of dirty dishes around even when I'm cooking! I like to wash dishes in between as I dislike leaving them for others to clean up!  I have this rule of: "If you're the cook, clean your own mess!"

That said, since I tend to cook quick and easy dishes (15-20 minutes), I like to do things quickly in between as well because the next schedule would be me tutoring my son for his homework and bond with him with his favorite activities.  That said time is gold in the AMW Household.

One of the oiliest and greasiest dish I've done -- Fried Calamari Sticks

Finished: Fried Calamari

I recently got hold on the Best Ever Joy - this is said to have the latest formula and is the biggest innovation in 10 years proven to be the "best ever" at grease cleaning.  True enough, after giving it a test for the past 2 weeks, I am sold, the old one is the best but the Best Ever Joy is the "bestest" in terms of its' power in stripping off grease the quickest possible way!  I enjoy the fact that I only need a few drops and I can go plates after plates, pots after pans, I only need to "activate" the suds by squeezing the sponge again and I'm good to go.  By the time I'm done washing, I'm also done cooking!  Time-saving indeed!

The new Best Ever Joy comes in a limited offer of only Php99 for the 495ml bottle.
Joy is available at all supermarkets, grocery stores and convenience stores nationwide. For more information and updates on promos, follow their Facebook page www.facebook.com/JoyPhilippines.

That said, we go on the 3rd step,

Invest Time with your loved ones

To have #ZeroWorries Life you have to make time to be with the people you worry most!  Even with our busy schedules, we make it a point to be around our son at this crucial age were he needed the most guidance. We teach him and guide him what's right and wrong and leave him a space to grow and be the special person that God has made him.

I love how Mr. AMW is aligned with my own values, Family will always be first and I love how he would take time out from work just to be around Kyle's special moments - School Birthday Celebrations, Moving-Up day, special performances etc...

I'm sure the list may go on and on but I'll just cut this short and make this article as simple as possible.

There is no special ingredient or a 100% successful method to a #ZeroWorries life.  People around you may or will always give their opinion, it will only depend on us if we get swayed by those suggestions or opinions.  As for me, nobody understands your family the way you do.

Whatever you're doing right now is the best method for you and your family - I'm sure a lot of you knew that by heart, maybe, you just need a reminder from me!

Great job mommies and daddies!

How about you?  What are your ways to have an "almost" #ZeroWorries life?
