If you browse my blog, you'll find that I have quite a number of hotel stays in the past! Due to my extremely busy schedule, instead of traveling outside the Metro for a local trip, I'd rather book a weekend staycation at hotels because I find it the easiest way to relax without the hassle of long drive.
Families with active kids, I'm sure you understand why I dislike the long drive! *winks*
After Kyle's 2nd quarter examination week, it was perfect timing for my family to be invited by Novotel Manila Araneta Center to spend a weekend there!
My husband used to live at the area and told me loads of stories on how busy the area gets! From Araneta Center BusPort to Gateway Mall, SM Mall, Ali Mall, Farmers' Plaza to Araneta Coliseum. No wonder this area is nicknamed the "City of the Stars". As much as Makati and BGC is the "it" place for hotel staycations, I find myself loving the vibe Novotel Manila Araneta Center offers and let me share to you the reasons why!
BEDROOM
There are a total of 401 rooms divided into 5 categories - Superior Room, Deluxe Room and Executive Room, Executive Suite, Presidential Suite with 1 Premier Lounge (which is the highlight of this Staycation as well! Will talk about it soon!)
We were booked at the Executive Room and upon entering, we were greeted with such warm welcome!

The Executive Room boasts the following first class amenities --- Illy Espresso Machine with complimentary mineral water, tea making facilities. This area makes a coffee lover in me warm and fuzzy deep inside!
In this room, we get a King Size Bed comfortable enough for family of 3 or 4! (2 Adults + 2 Kids).
And the bathroom is another thing! A separate shower and toilet is a better option for me because I like how 1 can take a shower while the other can use the toilet!
My favorite spot is this gorgeous well-lit mirror spacious enough for me to do my makeup!
And I appreciate that they use Novotel's exclusive brand of fair trade bath products! This is Novotel’s exclusive brand and the range offered per room is quite impressive - a pair of Dental Set, shaving set, comb set, shoe shine set, shower cap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bath soap, body lotion and a whole lot more! I appreciate the Comb Set as I actually left my comb at home!
And that's not all, for someone who dislikes bringing a lot of stuff, hairdryer is very important for me since I have long hair, I'm glad they have one attached by the bathroom! And thankfully, this works really well - AMW approved!
Aside from that, the Executive Room has a nice view of the pool and garden so you can easily gaze out of the wide window with a cup of Illy Coffee.
And if I may have to add, our "techie" family appreciates various adapters for multiple gadgets! This is one of the most extensive I've seen so far (based from my own Hotel Hopping experiences!)
Also each room is equipped with FREE WIFI access so I can easily keep track and update my family on my whereabouts and even Video Call them so they can see how much my son appreciates the room! (Hello Dancing on the Bed!)
KIDS CLUB
Aside from the lovely room, parents who have kids will enjoy the free use of Kids Club. Located at the 6th floor near the gym. Parents can do their workout and leave their kids at the Kids Club as they have a great time at the colorful play area.
As for us, we ended up staying inside the Kids Club as we enjoy seeing his happy faces taking videos and photos of him for tangible memories!

PREMIER LOUNGE
Even if not booked under Executive Room, we would definitely book to have a Premier Lounge access because this is by far the best lounge I've seen comparing to the other hotels I've stayed in.
Novotel Manila's Premier Lunge is a floor-to-ceiling windows that provides 360 degree views of Manila's skyline. All guests staying in Executive rooms or suites are welcome to use this area and they serve Breakfast, Tea Time, Cocktails and refreshments throughout the day!
We were there for Tea Time and enjoyed a lot of their yummy breads and pastries.
You can also skip the lines and crowd and have your breakfast here in the morning as well!
Throughout the stay, we visited the Premier Lounge multiple times a day for that coffee fix! They serve really good coffee and chocolate chip coolies!
There are so many activities and recreation yet to be explored! I can't wait to go back for our swimming session, SPA treatments and even enjoy some workout time! A weekend for me is not enough so I will definitely revisit Novotel Manila Araneta Center. No doubt one of the most comfortable place I've stayed!
And guess why I love this place so much? Because Kyle loved it here! The yummy Vanilla Gelato is an icing on the cake for him as I never heard him complain or whine all throughout the stay! He was just relaxed and happy and the hotel stayed true to their hashtag --- #ItsALotBetterAtNovotel indeed!
Before I end this post, I want to say KUDOS to all the staffs because the hotel was crowded that weekend but the staffs were able to remain calm and do their job in the best way as possible. We were helped with our luggage on our way to the check-in area. The breakfast line was long last Sunday and everything was done so seamlessly we don't mind waiting in line!
We were always greeted with a smile and that alone is enough to say, Novotel Manila Araneta Center is indeed a place for family and EVERYONE!
