Maybelline FIT ME Foundation Swatches and Thoughts

 

If you ask me what my favorite Maybelline Foundation is, the anwer is quite easy, it’s the Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage Foundation!  But whenever I ask my Beauty Blogger peers, they always go for Fit Me!  Why?  Because most of them have oily skin and they love the Oil-Control.  

I, on the other hand, have normal and a bit of dry complexion (on bad days!)  though the Fit Me Foundation surprisingly works for me, I would still go for SuperStay for the wonderful coverage and more dewy finish!

When it comes to shade choices, kudos to local Maybelline for having a good variety of shades that would fit most Filipinas!  I separated the shades to Light, Medium and Dark.

112, 120 and 125 for Light 

128, 220 and 222 for Medium

228, 230 and 310 for Dark

As for any foundation, since these are liquid, it is easy to mix 2 shades to create a perfect shade for you.  If you can find a single shade that works well on you - lucky you!

I find shade 220 to be the closest match but I like adding a tiny bit of 112 on my 220 for a little bit of brighteness!  (That is just me, I am a makeup artist so I enjoy mixing foundations!)

If you are a long time reader, you would think that my skin is still the uber dry skin that I have a decade ago.  Well, all thanks to my skincare regiment, my skin turned Normal from being DRY!  So I am not as surprised to see Fit Me works for me and does not give me dry patches like what Normal/Oil skin foundation usually looks on me!

After trying this foundation for a week, here’s what I have to say:

• The foundation has a strong scent which I don’t like.  The only CON I can say for now
• This foundation works for normal/oily skin but also works for mature-skinned gals as long as your skin is prepped properly with moiturizer underneath.
• The foundation is matte yet it doesn’t look extremely matte, it has a dewy glow after application.
• Does not make my skin feel tight or dry
• Coverage is supere good! 
• Applies like a dream!  No tugging of skin!

I highly recommend this foundation for those who are starting out to use foundation.  My only concern is for those with sensitive skin, the fragrance/scent may be a cause of allergic reactions so please do proper patch test prior to usage!

Overall I am impressed.  This is a good start-up foundation and would work best for young to young adult!
