MAC Locked Kiss Ink 24H Lipcolor Review

 

2 months ago, I attended the launch of MAC's LOCKED KISS INK at SM Megamall and I get to test two of the shades that I seriously felt that aren't my personality but worked so well for some reason!

MAC says---

A kissproof transfer-proof and waterproof liquid lipstick with 24 Hours of weightless wear and rich matte color.

AMW wears: Vicious

Out of the 2 shades I got, I felt more comfortable wearing Opulence as it is a cool tone red shade that whitens my teeth!  I can wear this lipcolor even without much makeup on!  

AMW wears: Opulence

Opulence is definitely not my personality!  I look like an antagonist but I can see myself wearing this on an event that calls for loud makeup!

Here’s a quick tip on how to wear #MACLockedKissInk -

• Prep your lips the night before. Exfoliate and use hydrating lip balm.
• Clean lips with oil-free makeup remover, pat dry and start applying!
• No need to top with gloss or balm.

If like me you have uber dry lips —

• Dab lip moisturizer (the pot ones) and let the product sit and hydrate your lips for a couple of minutes.
• Dab lips with clean tissue!

Yes, the MAC Locked Kiss Ink is indeed a long-lasting, long-wearing and very weightless type of matte lipstick.  Unfortunately, it does dry out my very dry lips (as this happens on all matte lipsticks no matter what brand).  

Do I think this lipstick is worth it?
Yes, if you are still a mask-wearer and felt too lazy to re-apply lipstick every now and then.  As for me who enjoys retouching different shades of lipsticks through the day, I can actually skip it not unless I'd love to wear something red --- most red lipsticks get stuck on my teeth and this particular version from MAC definitely WON my heart!
