Nail Art Tutorial: Marble Nails

 

I have been checking out talented nail artists in Japan, Taiwan and Korea on my Instagram account and I got inspired to do Marble nails using gel nail polishes!  

Given the chance, I’d like to do it on regular polishes more since my nails are weak and I prefer to change my polish at least once a week.  But because Marble nails are quite tricky to do cosidering you need a dry base - plus busy hands on mom here!  UV Gel Polish is the way to go for no.

If you do Marble nails, do not expect each nail to look uniform, some “marbling” will come off obvious while some are subtle making it a nice contrast.  I also added glitters because nail art designs look 10x better with glitters - that’s my humble opinion by the way! 

How to do Marble Nails using UV Gel Polish —-

1. Clean your nails.
2. Apply a base coat (cure for 30 seconds)
3. Apply a base color (any color you choose as base, could be light or dark).  Cure for 60 seconds.
4. Apply a 2nd base color (do not cure), top with white gel polish and gently swirl both colors together using a dotting tool, a toothpick or any sharp tipped opject.  
5. Once you are happy with the result of the “marbling”, cure for 60 seconds.
6. Add random glitters if you want.
7. Use UV Gel Top coat and cure for 60 seconds.\

Cetaphil Got A New Look!

 

I like looking back at my old reviews and I realized I’ve written about Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser year 2016!  That was almost 6 years ago!  

I was even invited for a “talk” in one Cetaphil Talk event at SM Aura few years back because this gentle cleanser is really one of the trusted brand especially for those with sensitive skin - ME!

This creamy formula is clinically proven to provide continuous hydration to protect against dryness. Formulated with Micellar Technology that gently yet effectively removes dirt, makeup and impurities.

I used to tote this around for clients whenever I do their makeup.  I would ask them to have a quick wash up before I apply makeup on them.  This is one of the safest gentle cleanser for people even with sensitive skin.  

Hair Care Tips at Home

 

My hair?

Sensitized, dry, frizzy and unmanageable.  It has been like that for the whole period of pandemic because I can’t go to a salon to have my hair treated.  After a year plus of struggling with tangled and hard to manage hair (especially after shower), I’ve decided to do something to keep my hair, and my sanity, in place! 

This tutorial looks tedious and parang ang daming products! BUT, trust me, I saw better hair results in a week’s time! 

Haircare is a Must!

* @kerastase_official resistence Cream for heat protectant
* Kérastase Resistance Extentioniste Sérum for scalp care
* @prostylefuwarie_ph Hair Mist Straight (check out how I apply this!)
* Kerastase Discipline Oleo Relax Oil (to seal the shine)

I have to remind you to use the right hair tools!  Wide-toothed comb for wet hair.  Once your hair is almost dry, you can use a Boar Brush to brush and hair will looks shinier and fuller!
