Shorts but make it Formal!

 

My wardrobe is filled with shorts, if you live in the Philippines or in any tropical country in general, you’ll understand why!

Thankfully, brands like Love, Bonito are making shorts that can pass up with more than a casual vibe.  I got this unique green colored shirt in Leatherette format from Love, Bonito x Coleen collection.  It is probably not available anymore but you can always check their site for some nice comfy shorts that can double up as meeting shorts.

Paired with a dressy white polo top!  I was quite surprised I have a pair of shoes that is the exact same color as my shorts!

I attended an event with this look and I was so comfortable with this I plan to use this shorts again pairing it to maybe with a different top?

Sunday Chill Fit

I can't believe it's finally August! 
July passed by in a more quiet manner than June because we stayed mostly home because my son got sick 2-3 times.  Too bad he's going back to school and we haven't done much going out of town which was supposedly our original plan.

So to make sure he enjoyed something, we've decided to visit family or friends and just have fun.  Aside from that he enjoys going to malls and visit bookstores so this is my relaxed fit.

I like low heeled shoes as opposed to flats and this was a perfect shade that goes with my skirt!

Paperdolls Dress

 

I love A-line dresses and I love it more when it comes in "battle green" or any deep green shade as this color is unique for clothes at the same time works so well on my skin tone!

When I did a shopping visit at Paperdolls x Adam & Eve store at Shangrila Mall, I was so happy I found this dress and it fits me perfectly! 

This is the Paperdolls EMERY SLEEVELESS DRESS (Php2,699.00)  which is also available in light beige.

It comes with a wide belt cinching your waist making me look like I have really good waist shape

 (but none in reality as I have quite a straight door-like body LOL)

I also like how the A-Line skirt made my waist appear smaller!

Public Service Announcement!

Love, Bonito officially opens its' doors last July 12th at Greenbelt 3 for Media and their VIP members.  Unfortunately, there were some issues in store (aircon broke down) and they have decided to move the official opening to a latter date.

Truth be told, it was hell shopping inside a humid store but their staffs were so friendly and helpful I forgot I was drenched in perspiration.  After seeing their announcement of not pushing through the Grand Opening for Public this July 13th, it gave me a nice sense of "I am a fan of the right brand!"  A brand that cares for the customers instead of sales because they can just push through opening and rack sales here and there even with discomfort from customers.

And NO, I am not "ass-wiping" or getting paid to write this article, I am really just a fan of this brand in general as they really make good, quality clothes that I personally shopped online through the years for so many times!  (Especially SALE Season!) 

That said, I am one of the many who got super excited to see this brand PHYSICALLY in PH!

So even when I am drenched with sweat, I am still happily shopping in their store!  Thankfully, I knew my size by heart so I did not even get to try them inside their dressing rooms!  I just went for my gut !

But just a quick preview, I took some photos of the store so you'll know what to expect when you get to visit!

Also love this section of the store.  I wished I got that white top!  It look so sexy!

Shopping at Love, Bonito won't be complete if you don't try their blazers! I mean the Philippines is so hot but if you work inside an office, this is definitely a staple in the closet!  I own a couple of Blazers from Love, Bonito and I want more!

I love this rack as you can create a number of outfit by just mixing and matching all these.

White and Pink Will always be Classy!

 

I love the color combination of Blush pink and White in fashion.  I felt so girlie and youthful.  Whenever I wear such combo, I always get complimented on how fresh I look even if I pair this with a pink a blazer under a 40Degrees Celsius weather!

Springfield x Women Secret Summer 2024

 What happened during the official launch of Springfield and Women Secret at One Ayala Mall?

We watched a fashion show from both brands and had chance to mingle with fellow fashion enthusiasts and get to shop at their newest stores.

Fashion: All White with a touch of Hot Pink

 I remember seeing my mom in her 40's in pants ALL her life until the time of writing.  She is very conscious of her varicose veins and I wished she would wear more shorts and skirts because she has gorgeous legs!  Perfectly shapes, very flawless --- my sister and I would always tell her that she's got the best pair of legs among us - screw varicose veins but I cannot force my super conservative mom.

Growing up with that in mind, I have told myself I'd wear more shorts, skirts and expose my legs as much as I can before I end up having varicose veins!  I do have some on my feet but who cares right?  I am so grateful to be born in this era where Self-Love and Confidence is the best form of love for oneself.

That is such a long intro for just an outfit post *laughs*  I hope you accept my apology but #sorrynotsorry here :P  I randomly picked this outfit on a cooler weather when me and my husband headed out for a lunch date.  I wanted something comfortable and to protect myself when I tend to get cold inside an air-conditioned restaurant or mall and an outfit where I can easily remove my outer sweater when it gets hot.

Pink and Red is my New Black and White!

 I am back with my favorite OOTD combo!  Blush pink and bright red!  

I have this red skort from Plains & Prints for some time and it was my best purchase and most used skort as of the moment.  As part of a Chinese community who uses a lot of bright reds for EVERY SINGLE Birthdays that we celebrate, I wanted to look a bit different this time for my sister's 50th birthday!

The shoes has been receiving compliments as well on my Instagram post and I am proud to say, I was able to squeeze my way to get this last pair in Dr. Kong Hong Kong!

My bag has been with me for years, it's from Anello and bought to me by my dearie Husband Mr. AMW because he knew I tend to use and abuse my daily bags and he was right!  Every single scent iw worth it!

Please do not think I am at Starbucks without coffee!  The Venti coffee is already in my stomach and the apple juice is Kyle's!  :)

FASHION: Giordano Oxford Shirt Style

 Who remembers Giordano in the 90's?  I mean every single cool kid has at least a Giordano piece whether T-Shirts, Polo Shirts or in my case, the Long-Sleeves Oxford Shirt.  

You know why I have it?  I borrow from my brother!!! 

Looking back, I just wore it one way, tucked in a Levi's Jeans and a Nike shoes because I felt so cool like that.

Fast forward to many decades after, I still feel like a cool-kid wearing this Oxford shirt but this time, styling it differently because we aren't into fast fashion nowadays, I want clothing pieces that I can wear multiple times!

I also like to mix pieces that are on a pricier side and affordable ones.  I am literally wearing a less than Php400 worth of White Tube Romper and I layered it with a less than Php200 mustard top adding a belt in between to make it look more formal and put together.  

Added the Giordano Long Sleeve Oxford Shirt as my cover up and it works so well and I felt so good!

Berlook Flac Shirt and Shorts

 

I cannot imagine the day will come I will be wearing an AVOCADO Color!

My brightest and weirdest color would probably be a bright yellow or bright orange number,  didn't notice how much of a green fashion forward I was ever since last quarter of 2023.

I have been shopping A LOT online for clothing and I've found myself adding to cart various clothing pieces from different websites and they all turn out to be different shades of GREEN!

I recently chanced upon fellow influencers posting about Berlook and I was one of the lucky few who was reached out by the brand to try their clothing.

I went for the SOLID COLOR Flax SHORTS and SOLID COLOR Flax SHIRT.

There were a lot of color choices to choose from, I originally wanted a Navy Blue because I know I look good in that color but my preferred sizing is not available.  I went for both MEDIUM but I wished I'd go for SMALL because they are TRUE TO SIZE!

I wanted to wear this on a beach trip or when we will go out for a staycation by the pool and wear my swimsuit underneath.  But after receiving the item, love the quality so much it works even as coords for a nice Sunday out with the family!

I love dressing up and I love shopping for clothes.  The sheer amount of clothes you can see in my closet will give you an impression of a shopaholic.  But I am not! :P  (That's what I say!) 

I recently just did a spring cleaning and gave away 3 garbage-bag full of clothes for donation and keeping key pieces that I can wear again and again.  I used to purchase by the "fashion" and buy pieces I cannot wear after 10 years!  

So if you are also like that, I am NOT judging you.

1. Teyla Elastic Paperbag Jeans in Light Denim Wash - size runs big so please downsize!  Size 27 is still big on me considering I am really a size 28
2. Jaelia Crop Camisole Top in Sunflower - go for Large if you want the crop to be not to high, this is not zipped so the bigger the better, I do not have to have a hard time wearing! 
3. Goldie Textured Collared Shirt in Lotus Green - because this design is loose, I got size Small and it was perfect.
