Askmewhats Reviews: Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer No. 1

I got the chance to test on the Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 courtesy of the Clumps of Mascara

I haven't used this religiously as I've had my own moisturizer for now and I use this depending on my mood. But this product is super pretty! Felt very light on the skin but don't expect some coverage dearies!

Here's how big the product is on my hand
Available in Shade 1 and Shade 2
$32.00 at Stila Website
Product below in Shade 01

Here's the swatch of the product
Minimal shimmer (not the exaggerating kind of shimmer) Has a pinkish base to it

I have yellow undertone but this product doesn't bother me because...

If you rubbed the product, it disappears on your skin
Check out the photo below :)

Askmewhats Says ---

Pros
  • 3-in-1 product (has sweet almond oil to moisturizer, mica to illuminize and SPF for protection)
  • goes on sheer
  • absorbs quickly
  • doesn't feel heavy on skin
  • non-greasy
  • shows up a real glow
Cons
  • unlike other tinted moisturizers, I don't think I can use this on it's own, will make my face looks a bit oily due to its shimmering properties BUT, this product is NOT design as a Foundation.
  • not available in the Philippines!
Tips
  • use this sparingly as a little goes a long way
  • you don't need to use this on your entire face at times, use this as a face hi-lighter (on areas where the sun naturally hits your face)
  • use this also on your collarbone, shoulders for that sexy look
  • you can mix this with your favorite liquid foundation to add up a teeny bitsy "glow"
  • after applying this, tap it with powder foundation for a clean, dewy finished look!

Will I repurchase?

  1. I like that tine moisturizer, but like you said, you still need either BBcream or liquid foundation. :D

  4. I used to have the original Stila tinted moisturizer and I hated it! The illuminating one seems to have better texture, not to mention the shimmers! I love shimmers!

  5. I like Benefit's You Rebel. It doesn't give much coverage and looks kinda dark but when paired with a concealer, it can be lightened and makes a pretty good foundation! When I was working there my skin couldn't accept any other foundation so it was only You Rebel and IT Stick for me.

I've heard many good things about Stila's tinted moisturizer but never tried it before. I think perhaps it's the non-shimmered one because I remember the tube being blue.

  7. Nivea TM is nice if you are in hurry to go walk out the door and just wants to look decent 'cause it gives nice coverage -- not made up but not scary-bare-looking as well. i had to ditc it though as i got hooked into MMU foundie. :D

  9. For a while, my HG tinted moisturiser was Vichy Lumineuse, but since Clinique came out with the Moisture Sheer Tint SPF 15, I switched. I'm still on my first tube but so far, I'm liking it.
