Hey everyone, here are some more questions from my readers :) Hope it'll be helpful to all of you! Again, feel free to add your own answers/advises !!!!
Question ---
What's the fastest way for a brush (specifically) Kabuki brush to dry?
Askmewhats Answers ---
I find my Kabuki brush to dry at least a day or 2. For others, it takes them more than 2 days. I think because after washing the Kabuki brush, I squeeze the brush gently to remove excess water, then I swirl my Kabuki brush to a dry towel for it to absorb the water. It does cut the drying time in half :)
Question ---
Which is the best blending brush? And is there a multi tasking brush for applying eyeshadow?
Askmewhats Answers ---
One good blending brush that I like is my Prestige Shadow Crease Brush, which doubles as a blending brush.
For a multi tasking brush for applying eyeshadow, you can use the Coastal Scents Pink Oval Fluff brush or something similar.
Question ---
Where can I get good make-up brushes, without putting a hole in my pocket? I am looking for powder brushes.
Askmewhats Answers ---
You can try G-lish brush sets for less than Php600 (approx $12.50)
You can try Suesh Brushes
and Charm brushes from Beauty & Minerals.
I've tried all of them and they are affordable and good. If you are set to buy only powder brushes, you can try the Body Shop, or test on some random brushes sold at Watsons, for powder brushes, all you need is a soft ones and picks on powders :)
Question ---
Where did you buy your traincase and do you have their contact number?
Askmewhats Answers ---
I bought my traincase locally at Quiapo. Exact address is ---
Stall S-26 2nd Floor Manila City Plaza, Carriedo St. Quiapo Manila. Tel no: 733.45.21
Do shop smart! And Bargain Bargain Bargain! :)
Question ---
How do you store your nail polishes? I'm having a hard time storing mine, and the collection is growing!
Askmewhats Answers ---
I store my nail polishes in my train case that I got from colleagues for my birthday last February. I also bought some plastic cases from Japan stores and store them nice and neat :)

What's the fastest way for a brush (specifically) Kabuki brush to dry?
ReplyDeleteA. I dry my brush bristle down on a towel (or paper towel.) I move it to dry spot once or twice.
Which is the best blending brush? And is there a multi tasking brush for applying eyeshadow?
A. I have to go with the almighty MAC 224 (or similar.) She's never let me down.
Where can I get good make-up brushes, without putting a hole in my pocket? I am looking for powder brushes.
A. I hear that CoastalScents.com has good brushes at incredibly low prices. Costco (believe it or not) has good brushes. I JUST did a review.
Where did you buy your traincase and do you have their contact number?
A. I'm in the process of making one. My husband gave me the office (computer room) to use as my beauty area. While he's setting up, I'm getting crafty.
How do you store your nail polishes? I'm having a hard time storing mine, and the collection is growing!
A. I use one of those rubbermaid storage bins (with drawers.)

ReplyDeletethanks for answering my question!!!
ReplyDeletewhee i shall check all out!
wanna see ur nail polish collection too!
Girl, is there any japanese stores which sells make up there in the philippines?
ReplyDeleteI use my hairdryer to dry my kabuki brushes. Now before you scream bloody murder (*lol*), I use the lowest heat, and place it a good 10 inches away from the brush. I also run my thumb through the hairs to get it to dry faster. And then switch the hairdryer to blasting cool air to finish the job.
ReplyDeleteThat is, if I want to use the brush again asap. If not, then I'll let it dry naturally, which will take up to a couple of days :)
Prettybeautiful, you are welcome! mine usually takes overnight, but on rainy days, it takes more than 2 days, but base on the feedback on others, we can blowdry it a bit on a low heat setting :) I'll take a pic of my nail polish collection soon :) Do wait ! :)
ReplyDeleteDwana, hey! thanks so much, these are all helpful!!! Wonderful!!!
Nesh, any beauty bars, go and ask the SA on where they store their prestige brushes, usually it's just in one glass jar! Not a lot of stocks per beauty bar :)
You're very much welcome Yumeko, I'll do the request of you and prettybeautiful soon! need to grab that cam and take a shot of them. I don't have a huge collection :)
Iyah, there is, but not big, they have it usually at Robinson's Malls, Robinson's Place and Galleria, just a small shop called KOICHI :)
Tine, girl! thanks for the extra tip :) It's helpful for everyone reading this :)
i used to just dump my makeup brushes in a mug, then i realized how unsanitary that is, i bought a plastic case thing with cover. :)
