That's why I'm surprised why I'm even interested to purchase any lash products!!! I thought Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler is enough for me, but when I saw the big SALE sign, the "Queen of Good Buys" have to take a second look!

Pros
- does curl my lashes
- the heat is just right, does not hurt my eyes or the skin around my eyes
- to those who likes to blowdry their eyelash curler, saves time and overheating accidents!
Cons
- pricey if discount is not considered
- good at curling but it tends to clump my lashes all together
- battery operated: Not environmental friendly
- the curl on traditional lash curlers last longer than this
If you can curl your lashes with eyelash curler, you don't NEED to get this product. This is a nice product to have but it's not required. Blowdrying your eyelash curler for a couple of seconds works just as fine as using a heated lash curler!
Tips (from site)
- Requires 1 x AAA 1.5V alkaline battery, I suggest you purchase rechargeable batteries, cheaper in the long run
- apply mascara first before heating the lashes
- turn on the lash wand, wait for a minute, wait for the dark blue sensor coil to turn whitish, indicating the optimum temperature
- place lash wand at the root of lashes and press gently, holding for approximately 10 seconds
- may need to repeat steps as it depends on the thickness of your lashes
- clean the lash wand with the brush provided to prevent mascara build up, and nothing can be more turn off than dirty tools!
- if you don't plan to use this daily, I suggest not to leave the battery inside

Thanks for the review, Nikki! I have the Panasonic one, and I do notice a little difference when I use it and not. But the difference to your lashes is hardly noticeable I think...
ReplyDeleteOoo.. thanks for reviewing.. I've never heard of this.
ReplyDeletethis is a cool review. i'll stick to my gold ol' mascara :)
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing these in the store and I keep ignoring them:) Great review.
ReplyDeleteGlad your mom is doing better.
XOXO
wow... looks great lol but too tough for me to use.
ReplyDeleteJess , you are right, that's why its really nice to just stick to a good mascara and curler!
ReplyDeleteJasmin, now you've read about this! :) I'm glad to give out info!
Becky, ditto!
The Home Spa Goddess , thank you so much on wishing my mom well! I do appreciate it! It has been some time, how have you been?
ReplyDeleteSherry,it was tough for me to use at first too! I am scared to burn myself, but after several usage, it's really convenient, but the curl ain't too obvious, I guess because of my short lashes!
errrr i think normal curler will do the same job for u nikki :P
ReplyDeletei am also not a mascara person, my lashes are just too saddening. so..falsies ftw!!!
You are so right, Nikki. As much as I have wanted to purchase one for the longest time, I know my trusty old lash curler and mascara can perform just as good, if not better, than these heated lash curlers.
ReplyDeleteI also have an electric curler, but didn't see much of a difference, so I'm back to traditional curlers & mascaras. And even on sale, it's still pricey compared to its results. Thanks for the review, Nikki =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Nikki!! I've been thinking about buying a heated curler from Panasonic, but it seems like some of you says that a curler does the same thing too... hmm...
ReplyDeleteyou got it on sale?! wow! that's a nice gadget to try..
ReplyDeleteawww..
ReplyDeletei so wanted to buy one too..
i was checking out ebay for it since most asian lashes are really short i figured that heated lash curlers would do wonders for it sounds so amazing..
but i think i'll just stick to my regular curler & 'heat' it too with a blow dryer!
^_^
I think the regular curling will do na. :) I'm not a fan of this kind of gadget too. Basta you have a very good mascara the curl will last naman
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review. I think I'll stick to my regular eyelash curler.
ReplyDeletethnx for the review :) your lashes look really curled and pretty! but am too lazy to do this tho lol
ReplyDeleteI just had to read this review. I was planning on getting a heated lash curler..but I guess a regular curler will do just fine. Hehe! Nice review! I love your blog reviews!
ReplyDeleteI like heat eye lash curler too, but it needs too much battery :(
ReplyDeleteprettybeautiful , you are right sister! I agree! :) And I agree with you again that falsies give out the best effect for our lashes :D
ReplyDeleteTish, hey, I'm glad you agree with me :) But don't get me wrong, I think this works for those who are blessed with longer lashes, as the effect will be huge!
neurochiq, true, i can purchase a Shu Uemura lash curler with the price! :) But it's nice to finally tried this!
Jenn, I think the Panasonic one is quite famous! :) I've been wanting that too but I can't seem to find it here!

Kim! Sis you've got long lashes, lucky you! hahaha You don't need any gadget at all but just a regular mascara!
ReplyDeleteGio, ahhaha you are welcome :)
Ai, really? I think it's curled but it doesn't give out a vavavoom effect, too bad my lashes didn't give justic to the product lol
♥Leigh♥ , thank you for saying so! you are very sweet with your comments!
ReplyDeletemy_makeup_mania, true, battery sucks, maybe let's wait for SOLAR operated lash curler? lol just joking
Modelco is an australian brand I think but I nvr tried any of their products, have you tried their eyebrow kit nikki?they got famous first because of it :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer traditional eyelash curler, I dunno why, just personal pref lolz.n plus it's greener XD how is your mum btw?
Hana, yes, it is an Australian brand! :) I haven't tried their eyebrow kit but I know it has great reviews and is quite famous down here :)
ReplyDeletethats a nice review... heat lash curler dries my eyes out :(
ReplyDeleteI do see a slight difference in your lashes. But not muuuuch. I'm like you. Waaaay too lazy to use these things on a daily basis.
