Happy weekend food tripping dear readers! How was the weekend treating you? Been waking up late today? Well I know I am! I've had a long and tiring week so this day will be "Me" day.
I've had a nice weekend food tripping with the family. It's actually a fourth or fifth visit for this restaurant at Robinson's Place, Ermita.
Gumbo... A Taste of New Orlean
I haven't tasted New Orlean dishes but hey, if they said so! :)Served "on the house", their freshly baked bread with olive oil. I love this! Even my brother who isn't a bread lover asked for second serving!
Steamed Pacific Clams
Petite: Php225.00 (approx $4.90)
Clams steamed and served with garlic butter sauce and tomatoes. This is actually a freebie that they gave us, before you get into the restaurants, the person who greets you will offer you freebies via coupons, do ask for more options and you can choose.
Cajun Fried Chicken
Petite:
Php295.00 (approx $6.40)
Marinated chicken with Cajun spices deep fried to its crispiest! Not
your typical fried chicken for sure!
Ahh Seafood
Jambalaya
Grande: Php525.00 (approx $11.40)
This is actually my favorite! Like I said before, I am not a rice eater except if you have "Korean Bibimbop" and Jambalaya served in front of me! I can just eat Jambalaya without any dishes! If only I'm not allergic to seafood, I can eat 2 servings of this!
Honey-Glazed Chicken
Petite (approx 3pcs): Php295.00 (approx $6.41)
Grande (approx 5pcs): Php495.00 (approx $10.76)
Not bad! It looks a bit too boring but when tasted, it's a huge WOW. Served with mashed potatoes and french fries. Such great carbo-festive diet! *hahaha*
Bourbon-Style Baby Back Ribs
Petite: Php495.00 (approx $10.76)
Made with spicy barbecue sauce. I am a spicy food lover so I love this, my dad and brother who's not into spicy food didn't enjoy this dish. Tip for you: Not for the sensitive tongue! :P
All Meat Extravaganza Pizza
Grande: Php495.00 (approx $10.76)
Oven baked pizza with the right thickness of crust, includes pepperoni, Italian sausage, grilled chicken in cubes and sausages. Love this!

ReplyDeleteIt's too wrong to look at your photos in the morning without a ready plate of breakfast. Kagutom! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, Nikki!
My mouth is salivating just looking at these photos, it looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Nikki. Last time I was in Gumbo MOA was like 3 years ago and this post is super just in time. I have a friend who's coming over from Louisiana and I want him to taste the Jambalaya here (it's his favorite). Have you tried the one in Burgoo? Is their Jambalaya better?
ReplyDeleteI feel so hungry right now!
ReplyDeleteKessa Thea, glad you found this post useful. Well, personally, I like the Jambalaya from Gumbo better than Burgoo :)
ReplyDeleteYey thanks. Gumbo it is! :-)
