Happy start of the week AMW Readers! How's your weekend? It was quite a relaxing weekend for me because I spent it playing my favorite PSP game of all time "Patapon 3", watched re-runs of Boys Over Flowers on KBS Channel and the best of all! Had another hair treatment and haircut session at my favorite Tony & Jackey salon!
Let's talk about the haircut! If you are a long time reader, you can count the frequency of my haircut because I always like my layers to be in shape! I get irritated right away if the ends of my hair starts to get dry! That explains why I can never sport that "Rapunzel-looking" hair! (Sorry Prince! No hair to fall off the tower for you to climb up!) :P
Tony & Jackey haircut for women costs Php500.00 (approx $11.60) the nice lady who washed my hair offered me hair treatment with free haircut for Php1,000 (approx $23.00). I usually say no to hair treatment as I do them at home, but since I'm there and I'm looking for some well-deserved "me" time. I said yes!
The point of the post, *laughs* is how I got to chat with my favorite Korean Hairstylist! She asked me how many times I do "at-home hair treatments" and I proudly told her once a week! She gave me a disappointed look, like a mom, she asked me to increase the frequency of my hair treatment because of my hair color.
Exact words from her: "If you want color your hair forever? You treat your hair with care forever!"
Exact words from her: "If you want color your hair forever? You treat your hair with care forever!"
Yes, I was scolded by my hairstylist! (How dare her?!!?) LOL In which at the end I realize, she's right!
Thank goodness for my love for hair that I have a lot of hair treatment back-ups I store in a huge case under my bed! (yes, I have to be that specific!) :P
Here are some new ones I will try!
Cream Silk Vitamin Treatment
Weekly Straight Shine
Dove Damage Therapy
I believe it's not available locally, brother bought me this in Shanghai!

Hortaleza Hair Spa Treatment
I got this as a birthday gift from HBC family, thanks!
"How Many Times A Week Do You Treat Your Hair?"
I'll start doing the "at least 3x a week hair treatment" and I will report back if I see any improvement on my strands!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
I only also do it once a week but that's cause I have virgin hair and I don't use much heat so, I think I'm good. :)
ReplyDeletehehehe buti pala i discovered thanks to sm advantage, the pure beauty hair mask. i use that thing like my conditioner so every other day talaga :P
ReplyDeleteI use watson's yoghurt hair treatment mask once a week :) After I'm done with this, I'll try the Human Heart Nature ones.
ReplyDeleteI actually give myself hair treatments 1 a week too! LOL I also have to buy a new tub of my treatment na... :D I actually use the one salons also use..yung sa mga ricky reyes! haha! I scour Divisoria for it LOL pero worth it kasi it lasts for 6 months and also great to use as everyday conditioner...
ReplyDeleteMuch Love!

Honestly, sometimes I'm too lazy to have my hair treated even at home. Such a shame :( I should get time to treat my hair since I'm having a rebond every year.
ReplyDeleteDo you agree that using shampoo everyday can cause dryness to hair?
yikes, so it should be 3x a week? i'm so guilty. sometimes i don't even have time to do it once a week :(
ReplyDelete*forehead slap* completely missed the BOF rerun on KBS world LOL.
ReplyDeletei wanna see lee min ho's new tv series na he's gone all buff na, well sorta.

ReplyDeleteNot as much as I should.. Once or twice a month lol. I know I should take better care of my hair but I'm too lazy...
ReplyDeleteHi! I bought Cream Silk Vitamin Treatment Weekly Straight Shine at the grocery store today after reading your blog! I'm looking forward for better strands (fingers crossed)
ReplyDeleteI condition my hair with Kerastase products, which are great for protecting/treating colour-treated hair. Also get a 20 minute deep treatment once a month at the salon.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading this post, I promptly went home and gave my tresses some TLC. XD
ReplyDeleteanswer: I Don't treat my hair hahaha
ReplyDeletei don't think available sa phils ung dream matte..ebay lang ata? hehe wala kasi ako makita nian dati diyan.. :(
@Michelle You're alright, if you never color or perm/rebond your hair once a week is good enough :D
ReplyDelete@Marge I like those inexpensive ones you can find at Watson's, I like using them as conditioner too! Smells great pa!
ReplyDelete@Rae So do you like the Yogurt Hair Mask ? Why are you shifting?
ReplyDelete@Photoescape ay agree, I like salon formulas too! I like taking a peek on what they use and try to purchase them my own :)
ReplyDelete@Em Well, of course using harsh shampoos will strip off your hair's natural oil, if you may, you can do it alternately but I can't! The heat here is crazy plus pollution, what I do is to apply more conditioner!
ReplyDelete@Crystal I know! me too! There are days I have to skip it! But starting TOday, I'll be doing it at least 3 x a week!
ReplyDelete@Marge Lee Min Ho all buffed? *gasp* super cute din niya!!!!
ReplyDelete@Issa Keri naman, your hair is still natural and very healthy looking!
ReplyDelete@gio girl, I hear ya!
ReplyDelete@Angel Ako din, I just used mine this morning, smells wonderful, let's see what this can do!!!

ReplyDeleteI dont really do hair treatments, bad bad me but I want to start. I just want to look for a good hair treatment for curly hair. Majority thats available here are for hair straightening >__<
ReplyDeletei try to alternate conditioner to hair mask every 2days. then i also use tsubaki oil to condition my hair & i have to say that my hair is now softer & smoother!
ReplyDelete^_^
LOL at her scolding you!
but you know, i prefer stylists like that because you know that they do care about the hair not just in favor of pleasing you with a bigger tip,ne?
hi nikki... have you heard of Organix keratin treatment for 30 days? my sister in australia told me about it... googled it and the reviews were all positive... Its DIY and Formaldehyde free... i badly need one so im asking if you have any idea on where can i order it... thanks IA. jenga28

ReplyDeleteWould you believe, I treat mine every single day after shampoo!!! Yikes!
ReplyDelete@Angela WOW!!!! That's nice! Bilib!!!!! :)
ReplyDeletehi! i just wanna ask if how do I use the hbc hair spa treatment at home? Do i need to shampoo my hair first before i apply the hair spa treatment? or just a wet then apply it?? oooohhhhh myy! i really dont know...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous After shampooing, towel dry your hair and apply a good amount of HBC Spa Treatment all over your hair massaging the roots and concentrating more on the dry area (mid shaft to the ends) and leave it for 10-15 minutes :) Then wash off :D
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the help!!! God bless you!
