AMW Reviews: Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil

It is very important to draw one's brows correctly!  Too thin brows may make you look old, too thick brows may make you look like someone who forgot to trim their brows! Everyone should master their own brows because it can indeed change your overall look!

I've married myself to Eye Brow Pencils when I first bought my Paul & Joe Eyebrow Pencils few years back, I find it easy and I can even change the shade of my dark brows to match the color of my hair!

Today, I will be talking about another Eye Brow Pencil I've been using for months because I lost the other 2! :(  So sad! I lost the Tears and The Face Shop! *sigh*

For natural looking brows, apply liner with precise and short strokes, following the natural growth of your brows. By Etude House.

Pros
  • Automatic, no need to sharpen
  • Comes with a free brush to tidy up your brows..
  • The shape of the pencil is perfect to redefine your brows.
  • Even if you apply with heavy hand, the color comes off very natural!
  • Though the liner is short, it doesn't finish up fast.
  • Glides easy and easy to apply.
  • Comes in a lot of shades.
  • Very inexpensive for an eye brow pencil that works!
  • Stays the whole day!

Cons
  • For someone who likes lighter brows, I believe this is the lightest shade!  I'd love it if they can product 1 to 2 shades lighter eye brow pencil shades.
Overall
I will stick to what I believe in, Korean made eye brow pencils are really good!  Inexpensive yet works like a charm!

Tips
  • If you have super oily skin, lightly dust a bit of setting powder or powder foundation on your brows for the powder to absorb excess oil before you starts drawing!
  • Trim your brows if needed for them to look clean!
  • Brush your brows before you start to draw.
  • Use soft and super feather-like stroke.
  • You can warm your eyebrow pencil at the back of your hand first.
  • Purchase the shade closest to your hair color.
Will I repurchase?

  8. Thanks for this review, I am so getting a pencil or two. I love the shape. Right now, if I'm not using MAC Lingering (which I don't use often kase mahal, hihi), I use Ever Bilena and shape it with a blade, delikado. Now I won't have to do that with the Etude House pencil!

  32. @Belle ah I understand you, I felt the Megamall branch is far from me kahit na 15 min walk lang! hahahaha pag tinatamad talaga :P

  33. @Anonymous Well if you want lighter shade, look for eyebrow pencils that's named either LIGHT BROWN or BLONDE , that is best used for really light hair! This one from Etude House is a bit too dark for you if your hair is very light!

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Hollie yes, agree with you, the brush on the other side plus the automatic is really a great selling point

    ReplyDelete
  35. @katatonik A really? I didn't even know there is a refill for this!

  36. @Askmewhats
actually have to ride some jeepneys, bus and tricycles to get there i guess. :) pretty far really. would literally take me 3 hours at least to get to megamall. hahaha :)

  40. Hi! I have thick eyebrows, not groomed yet but has a shape. I want to lightly color them with this. Will it work for me?

    Thanks!

    1. If you want to lightly color your brows, I think you need a tinted brow gel! Since you said your brows are thick, it is easier to lighten it with a brow gel.

  41. Gosh, I've been using this for years! Since Etude House started here in the Ph and even recommended this to my colleagues. I use 01 priced at PhP129 and buy refills for PhP75 only! Always sold out this shade in stores so I always buy refills for back-up. I just love it! I use this with MAC Brow Set in Beguile. Perfect combination! I'm a brow addict myself. Will try K-Palette soon or MUFE Eyebrow Corrector (though applying this one is tricky, MUA levels! hehe).

    1. Good for you that you are trying out different brands! I can't seem to finish them all up as I hoarded so much during my Korea trip!!! We must've tried these at the same time as Etude House was just opening up stores when I got these in Korea! :) I never thought they'll be coming over and I thought I need to hoard or no chance in the future to do so at all! :P
