Nail Art Tutorial: Sweet Rawr!

Nail Art of the week!!!  Good rawr-in'!!!

If you have seen most of my nail art tutorial, you'll know that I'm into dainty stuff, flowers, flowers and... more flowers! Animal prints?  I've done once with my version of Zebra Nail Art.

This week, I am inspired to do another "animal print" inspired nail art, this time, leopard print!  Unfortunately, I can't seem to leave the leopard print as it is as I don't seem to find myself fit that 'sexy, rawr worthy' personality!

I went for "Sweet Rawr" Nails instead!

Step 1:
Apply your preferred base coat to protect your nails.  For the base color, I chose a very sweet color from Revlon Nail Color in 229 Demure.

Step 2:
Those who are used to drawing their nails may skip this step.  I prefer to use my L.A. Colors Art Deco thin-brushed white polish to create a "border".  This only serves as guide so it doesn't have to be perfect.  Create a tiny half moon like that of a French Tip.

Step 3:
Use any matte white polish to fill in the border line.  I am using The Face Shop's WH002.

Step 4:
I like using a glittery polish to draw a line in between the base color and the white-colored polish.  I am using a very nice, glittery polish from Majolica Majorca in VI494 and the brush that comes with it is very thin.

 Check out the nice contrast
Step 5:
With a Nail Art Dotting tool or toothpick, randomly draw dots on the peach-colored base color.  The yellow polish color is from BNC Yellow Polish in 711.

Step 6:
Since I do not have any dark brown 2 way nail art pen, I used a brush bought from a bookstore and used my Paul & Joe Nail Enamel 003.  Randomly draw small arches outside the yellow dots.  Oh, you can also use a very thin eyeliner brush or lip brush.

Step 7: OPTIONAL
You can stop on step 6.  In my case, I've decided to create a sweet and sexy effect on nails, with a bright red polish from Wet n' Wild, I drew a ribbon just as seen on photo below.

With the same yellow polish used for yellow dots, dot the center of the red ribbon created.

Step 8:
Making sure the nail art design is completely DRY, choose your favorite top coat to protect your hard work.  It keeps my polish last for at least a week or even more!

Enjoy leopard inspired nail art with dainty ribbon!

Enjoy!
Have a great Friday!
What are you up to this weekend?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
