Nail Art Tutorial: Ribbons and Laces

*screams* POSITIVE VIBES!!!

It's Friday!!! Happy Friday!  *breaks into a dance*  Okay, you can stop imagining me doing that crazy dance! :)   I am in a good mood, though I will be working on a weekend still, it's a work I love!  --- Prettifying People!  *yay*

Before the week ends, I will be sharing to everyone the most colorful part of my body!  *teeheee*  You're probably thinking about the brain --- WRONG!  It's all GREEN! *wahahahaha*

Nail Art Tutorial!  I know not a lot of you are into nail art but I hope this colorful design I've done called Ribbons and Laces can brighten up your day!

Step 1:
Apply a good amount of base coat underneath.  Let dry.  Pick any 2 light shades polish as your base.  I applied only 1 coat each nail as I am going for a sheer base.

Blue base: Caronia Frosted polish in Bliss
Pink base: The Face Shop polish in BR802

Step 2:
Making sure the base is completely dry.  Create a "lace" like shape that's 2-3 shades darker than your sheer base.

For the Blue:
OPI Austin-tacious Turquoise (Thanks to my nail art sister for this)

For the Pink:
Revlon Nail Lacquer in Temptress

Step 3:
Making sure the 2nd polish shade is COMPLETELY dry.  Choose the darkest shade similar to the sheer polish and second shade.

For the blue:
The Face Shop Nail Color in BL604

 For the Pink:
OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y?
(Gifted to me by my nail art sister. Thanks!)

Step 4:
With a white 2-way nail art pen or nail art dotting tool, create dots and even go for the "lace" design and shape as shown on photo below.

I just applied dots on the "tip" portion for the blue
Step 5:
With a nail art dotting tool, I applied 2 oblong shape at the lower center of the nails.

Step 6:
With a smaller nail art dotting tool, use an orange nail polish shade and dot the center to create a very "kiddie" ribbon!  Reminds me of a candy store!

Step 7:
Making sure the nail art designs are dry, apply a glittery polish on top for a nice "shine"!  You may skip this step if you prefer a matte finish.

Step 8:
Apply your choice of Top Coat to protect your nail art designs.  This is the secret in keeping your nail polish last longer!  In this tutorial, I am using The Face Shop's Top Coat.

Please do not ask me why it's blue and pink!  You know that's my "ultimate" favorite colors! Never fails to remind me of Mr. and Mrs. AMW! *awww* :P

What "colorful" thing/event are you looking forward for the weekend?
Mine is a wedding that I'll be attending and a makeup gig! :)

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
