AMW Makeover: "The Cool" Bride and Groom

Happy Hearts Week! :)
To "feel" the love, I am sharing the Bridal and Groom Makeover I've done weeks ago, it was a very early morning call time and you won't hear any complaints coming from me as I've got one of the coolest and relaxed couple to work with!

4am makeover at Bel Aire Hotel, Alabang

Anne, our dearest Bride for the day had her trial make up done by yours truly (you can check post HERE) so I already have the make up style she wants and mind you, the makeover turned out to be easier as her skin was naturally glowing!

All I need to do is psych her up for her false lashes application as her wedding day will be the first time she will have false lashes applied on!  A secret between you and me, I brought eye drops  to remove redness!  --- And the eye drop did not made an appearance at all!

Here's the Before and After Shot of Anne
(Check out her gorgeous skin on before shot!)

Anne is lucky to have normal skin but I still prepped her skin with a good oil-free primer from Laura Mercier and corrected the tiny darkness below her eyes.  A very natural gold, brown and beige eye shadows where used from various brands (MAC, Lancome and Bobbi Brown) and of course, let's not forget to define her eyes with a good pencil and gel liner combined!  Ooohh, let's not forget her brows!  Though almost perfect, I filled in the gap with my favorite K-Palette Tattoo Brow Liner and finished up with an eyebrow gel.

On bridal makeup, contouring is necessary for the client to have a 3-dimensional look on photos!  A nice peachy orange blush was applied to complement her skin tone and  a matching lipstick shade was used with pencil liner underneath.

Now, on to the false lashes!  One of my favorite "Bridal lashes" was used from ES Brand A715 from KKCenterHK (review posted HERE)  The lashes are thick, long and yet very light and natural to look at!  The bride was quite happy with the result and she immediately exclaimed how comfortable it felt a couple of minutes after.

A "ninja shot" from Mr. AMW
as the bride was the Center of Attention
Before I end this post, let's not forget the better half of our star in this post!  The groom!  The groom was quiet and obviously not that familiar with all the hustle and bustle of wedding preparation!  I checked his skin and found him to be the same as 98% of the guys in the Philippines --- Oily!.  He also requested me to cover the mark he got on his lower right eye which came right in time for his Special Day!

Thank you Lord for my learning from Make Up School on the right ways of correcting!  I was able to conceal his mark!  Of course, prior to that I primed his skin with an oil-control primer but advised him to "pat" instead of wipe his perspiration so his make up won't be gone even before he comes face to face with the bride!

**Photo NOT photoshopped

It was one of those memorable events you would thank the Lord because I was there to be part of the happiest day of anyone's life!  I've always wanted to be the "backbone" of a special event and my dreams are definitely coming true! :)

I want to thank the Bride and Groom for being so "cool" and for entrusting me their faces on the day they unite as Husband and Wife!

I also did the makeup for the entourage so watch out for it! :)

I hope this post serves as a "proof" on how makeup can prettify anyone but at the end of the day, it is the INNER BEAUTY that will definitely shine through!  See the happy, excited faces of both the Bride and Groom on Before photos?  I tell you, they can march down the aisle even without make up!  Love was definitely in the air!

*hums Wedding March song* :D

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  11. Hi! I hope you can share to us what products you have used to conceal the groom's mark. I would love to go to a makeup school. However, I don't think I have the funds yet. I look up to your blog for product reviews and makeup works. Hope to hear from you! Thanks! :)

    1. Hi Anonymous, I corrected his mark first by using Make Up For Ever Correcting palette! You have to be very careful in application as we should make sure it doesn't pain the client! :) After correcting, you can proceed with foundation application :)
