BYS Lip Gloss and Lipstick Duos Review

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! 
How are you celebrating your Valentine's Day?  As for me, I'd rather stay at home and not stress myself with the traffic!  There are always ways to show your loved ones how much they mean to you!  A huge bear hug?  A lovely surprise dinner?  Or just a simple KISS will do!  So let's pucker up ladies as I'm reviewing a product just in time for the "pucker your lips" day!  :P

Pros

• Nice, easy to use packaging.
• 2-in-1 lip product.  You get a lipstick and gloss for the price of 1!
• The lipstick side is creamy and pigmented.
• The gloss side is creamy, smooth and non-sticky.
• Both sides can be worn on its own or worn together!  
• Lightly scented.
• Price. 

Cons

• The lipstick side can accentuate lines on lips as it isn't a super moisturizing lipstick.  (The lines will lessen once you combine with the lip gloss combination.)
• The lipstick side is too creamy you may end up breaking the lipstick.  (Be careful!)

Overall

Basic lipstick and lip gloss duo but what sets the BYS apart from other inexpensive brands is its much pigmented shades and the availability of wide range of colors!  The lip gloss part is just like any other gloss minus the sticky feel. Staying power of the BYS Lip Gloss and Lipstick Duo is just right, I believe the darker shades have longer staying power.

Tips

• I have realized that no matter how great a lipstick is, if your lips are extremely dry (like mine), any lipsticks will accentuate a bit of your lines so it is very important to moisturize the lip area and exfoliate it at least once a week.
• If you have full lips, apply the gloss only at the center and spread with a lip brush using light hand motion.
• For longer lasting lip color, apply gloss on top for barrier or use a similar shade lip pencil prior to lipstick application.
• Be careful not to twist up the lipstick too much during application as it may break due to its creaminess.
• If you live in an area where your makeup tends to moist, store your BYS Lip Gloss and Lipstick duo on the side of the fridge.
• Do not leave any makeup products inside the car!

Shade: Dusty Rose

Lipstick: Matte light peach shade with hint of pink.

Gloss: Almost translucent, no shimmers, light peach.

Dusty Rose surprisingly doesn't accentuate my dryness much even without lip balm underneath.  The gloss combination is perfect as it creates fuller lips in an instant!

Shade: Pucker Up Pink

Lipstick: Matte, medium pink shade with a slight sheen.

Gloss:No shimmers, medium peach orange shade.

As seen on top photo, the lipstick itself did accentuate a bit of my lip dryness.  I came into a conclusion that the brighter the lipstick is, the more it can accentuate my lip dryness but judging by the look of photo, it isn't as bad as other lipsticks I've tried since the BYS comes with a nice sheen that masks a bit of dryness.

Once applied with gloss, the color lightens a bit giving it dimension.

Have you seen BYS cosmetics recently at leading department stores?
I used to see them at Watsons but now, I'm seeing them at SM Department Stores too and with the wide range of products they offer, I can see a handful of beauty enthusiasts flocking the counter to checkout their products!  So far, I'm happy with the first BYS product I've tried and I can't wait to review more!
