AMW Reviews: Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine + a Giveaway!!!

Hi AMW friends!
How are you today?  I am feeling a bit excited about the Holidays but at the same time, not too excited as I'm not done with my Christmas shopping yet!  With my not-so- healthy back, I hope I can lug all the presents I purchase together with Baby AMW, that's multi-tasking! :)  That's why online shopping maybe is the key or as for you my dear readers, joining giveaways so you can win wonderful items for your loved ones!

LIKE THIS!

Today, I will be sharing Benefit's newest product that will be available February next year!  Please read through my review and a wonderful #AMWxXmasGiveaway is happening after!  2 of you will get the chance to try the product even before it's available at local Benefit Counters!  *YEHEY!*

Just so you know, this product comes in 1 shade only.

Benefit says ---
Operation shine control! The POREfessional: agent zero shine instantly minimizes shine and helps smooth the look of pores. Our invisible shine-control powder joins you in your top secret mission for smoother-than-smooth skin. Pores and shine don’t stand a chance! Just twist, tap & sweep to look fresh-faced, without a trace!

7.0 g Net wt. 0.24 oz.

Ingredients:

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Nice packaging and the product comes with a brush.
  • Perfect packaging for travel.  No mess at all!
  • Brush is non-scratchy, good quality animal hair.
  • The powder after application turns invisible.
  • Does blur out lines and pores.
  • The powder does not cling on dry skin thus, you don't see dry patches especially on dry skin users like me!
  • Holds oil for at least half a day!  (Consider that the tester has combination -normal/oily skin).
  • Removes shine in an instant but doesn't create a super matte look, the powder actually gives a hint of "glow" on the area applied.
  • Works for almost ALL skin color!
Cons
  • Because Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine is meant to be a shine control powder, there won't be extra coverage as compared to using an oil-control powder foundation.
Neutral
  • Super oily skin may still need touch up.
  • If you are a mineral makeup user, it'll take you some time to get used to swirling the powder in a small cap.
  • The price.
Overall
Removes shine without removing the "life" on your face! Agent Zero Shine can blur out your fine lines and pores and keep your makeup look fresh all day!

Tips
from Benefit
  • Twist off built-in brush from base.
  • Then tap powder into lid and dip brush.
  • Sweep on moisturized skin or over makeup to instantly mattify your complexion.
  • Touch up over makeup during the day…or whenever shine dares to return.
from AMW
  • Apply Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine only on areas that tend to oil up. (ex. T-zone)
  • For users with deep facial lines and large looking pores, use Benefit Porefessional Balm underneath and top with Agent Zero Shine for a better blurring action!
  • Wash the free kabuki brush before you use it.
  •  The tap, swirl and buff technique from Mineral Makeup is effective.
  • Aside from removing shine or blurring out lines and pores, Agent Zero Shine is a perfect product to help set your eyeliner, cream blush without changing the original color.
Will I repurchase?
Yes

To whom do I recommend this to?
Girls who wears makeup and loves to retouch midday.  Works *surprisingly* for ALL skin types!

Where to purchase and how much?
Available locally February 2014 at Benefit counters (Rustans Makati, Greenbelt, Shangri-la, Trinoma and SM MOA) for Php1,600.00 (approx $37.00)

Packaging of Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine

The packaging comes with a sifter with 3 large holes making it easy for powder to dispense.

Twist the bottom part and you'll find a buffing brush that fits perfectly into the lid.  As for the quality of the buffing brush, I find this quite soft even after wash.

With 2 shake, you get this amount of Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine on your cap, use the buffing brush to gently swirl on the small cap!  If there are too much product on your brush, fret not, just tap the excess away!

Agent Zero Shine swatch at the back of my hand.
The powder may look like a "Light Beige" on mineral foundation but upon buffing and blending, the color disappears.

After BB Cream application, I apply a tiny amount of Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine on my T-zone and so far, my skin does not look dry or flaky at all!

AND, finally, here's the best part!  Like I said earlier, 2 lucky AMW will get the chance to own Benefit Porfessional Agent Zero Shine even before the product is available in stores!  Isn't that a lovely Christmas gift?

  1. What particular Benefit Product did you purchase because of my review (or which one caught your interest)? I actually bought the Porefessional because of your review. I have large pores, as in, all over my face and this product helped me a lot. :) I am super interested with the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation, hope I can try it out soon.

  2. I have not tried any Benefit product yet as they are not locally available from where I live, but I am very interested to try out the Benefit Porefessional. I have very oily skin and face primers are my best friend! =)

  3. Sad to say, but, benefits cosmetics are not available in the mall in our place. I'm interested with That Gal primer! I heard lots of compliments for the product and I found out that you also like the primer. I want to try it because my face tends to produce so much oil that causes my make up to fade away easily which is a super hassle problem specially when I'm busy in school.

  11. I'm in support of the local beauty industry. Although I have a few foreign branded cosmetics I prioritize local brands. But I've been tempted to try Benefit for quite some time now, it's just that I'm super kuripot. Haha! But, of course, you get what you pay for most of the time so I think, I might try a product from them. They have a pore minimizer, right? What actually catches my attention with Benefit products is that they are named so adorably. :D
