AMW Reviews: Pevonia Power Repair Age Correction Hydrating Cleanser

A lot of you are probably on a week-long holiday.  As for me, I'm still at work getting busier as ever!  I had a lovely weekend spending time cramming on Christmas Gifts and attending parties/get-together!  I have more the following days but I'm not complaining, this is definitely the season to be jolly and what made this year's Christmas even better?  The fact that I have Baby Kyle with me!  He is God's greatest gift to us! :)

Anyways, Christmas is drawing near and I won't be on a holiday when it comes to product reviews.  I recently tried Pevonia Power Repair Age Correction Hydrating Cleanser and trust me what I say..."I'm In Love!"  

I'm always picky when it comes to my skincare regimen, expensive doesn't mean it will work on my super sensitive and picky skin!  But after using Pevonia Power Repair Age Correction Hydrating Cleanser for more than 2 months, I can definitely explain why I'm in love with this product.

Pros

• Housed in a gorgeous pump packaging, easy to use.
• Smells GREAT!  Relaxes me every time I was my face.
• Lightweight...no greasy or oily residue.
• Skin feels clean but never tight.
• The dryness on my face disappeared after 1 week of usage even without moisturizer.
• My skin did not go through "down time", I call this a period where my skin reacts negatively (itchiness, redness, etc...) when I change skincare products.

Cons

• Won't remove all traces of makeup.
• Availability.  This is not widely available, you need to either buy online or on partner spas.
• Price.

• If you prefer your facial cleanser to lather up, this won't happen as Pevonia Hydrating Cleanser has a light, creamy texture that felt more like a "cream" rather than a "cleanser".

Overall
A gentle, hydrating facial cleanser that smells great!

Tips
from Pevonia

• Use morning and evening by applying a small quantity of Hydrating Cleanser all over your face and neck and working with wet fingertips.  Remove with a washcloth or a sponge wet with warm water and towel dry. Follow with Hydrating Lotion.

• It is best to work with dry face, wet fingertips as I find this method cleanses my face better.
• Massage cleanser with a circular motion.  Do not be in a hurry when you wash your face.
• It is best to wash your face with lukewarm water then finish up with a quick splash of regular water to close down pores.
• Try not to get close to your eyes no matter how gentle this product is.  
• Remove all traces of makeup (especially waterproof makeup) with your favorite makeup cleanser before you wash your face.
• Follow up with your choice of toner and moisturizer to seal in moisture.
• Stop usage once signs of irritations occur.

Will I repurchase?
Yes, I know this product is pricey but I really invest on skincare and there are just a few products that really works on hydrating my skin without the help of moisturizer.

To whom do I recommend this to?
This cleanser is great for all skin types especially normal, dry and sensitive skin.

After my pregnancy, I did mention that the dryness of my skin was getting worst!  Even my most dependable moisturizer is not enough to remove the dry patch on my upper left cheek!  After using Pevonia Power Repair Age Correction Hydrating Cleanser for a month, the obvious dry patch disappeared even with irregular use of moisturizer (I usually apply late at night after putting Baby AMW to sleep and at times, I get too sleep I skip moisturizer application).  Because of that, it made me fell in love with my facial cleanser as I get to only use 1 skincare product at times and so far, my skin isn't complaining!  The price of the cleanser maybe way above ALL OUR BUDGET but come to think of it, I save up on moisturizer plus the fact that my skin is hydrated all day long is something  I wouldn't mind investing on!
