AMW Reviews: Etude House Rosy Tint Lips

Thank God It's Friday!!!
I will be reviewing another "most requested" Korean makeup Product Review request!  Thanks to my readers, shopping is easier for me as I only note down the list of products they want me to review and look for them inside the store!  On the other hand, I think it ruins my wallet though!  I went out with a weeping credit card!  *laughs*

All for the love of my readers, I actually bought the most requested Etude House product to review called Rosy Tint Lips, okay , the idea of lip tints scared me a bit as it always equates to DRYING.  After swatching all the shades on my hand, I picked the bright reddish-orange shade perfect for summer!

Here goes nothing...scroll down to see if this product is a keeper or worth throwing out of the trash (not really, but probably let it go to user with perfectly moisturized lips?)

 Etude House Rosy Tint Lips
Shade 02

Etude House says ---
"This velvet type tint lips comes with a soft delicate texture and rich color to express lips of a rosy petal."
Go from gradient blooming pink lips to velvety full burgundy lips with the new &Rose Rosy Tint Lips!
Net wt: 7g
Available shades: 8 shades

Pros
  • Can be used on cheeks and lips.
  • Creamy texture.
  • Pigmentation is really good.
  • Not as drying as compared to other lip tints.
  • Does not accentuate lip lines (for users with not so dry lips)
  • Long-lasting.  May blur out a bit after eating and drinking but you still have a nice amount of color on your lips.
  • Can create gradient lips without effort.
  • Matte.
Cons
  • Packaging.  The tube is made of hard plastic making it a bit difficult to squeeze out product.  The sponge applicator on the other hand, well I find it unhygienic especially after long-term use.
  • Users with very dry lips: The Rosy Tint Lips can still accentuate lines.
Neutral
  • Rose scent.  Okay for me but others may not be into scented lip product.
Overall
Overall, I love all the shades from Etude House Rosy Tint Lips, I actually swatch a couple of them in store and wanted them all!  The formula is creamy, non-drying (though may be drying for users with extremely dry lips) and long-wearing.  The good news is that, this product can double up as a cheek stain.

Tips
from Etude House
  • Delicate Petal Lip Gradation : Dab a certain amount onto center of upper and lower lips and use tip to evenly spread.
  • Rose in Full Bloom Lip Cover : Smoothly glide onto lips, starting from inner to outer direction.
  • Soft Petal Cheeks : Dispense a certain amount and dab lightly onto both cheeks, blending quickly with fingers.
from AMW
  • Squeeze out a tiny amount at the back of your hand, use a lip brush or your finger to apply instead of applying directly from the sponge applicator.
  • For users with dry lips (like me), exfoliate lips regularly and moisturize to keep lips from looking dry.
  • If you are OC with the sponge tip applicator and don't want it to be stained, you can easily twist it open.
  • For sheer coverage, dot once or twice on your lips and gently blend with your clean finger.
  • For heavier coverage, squeeze out more and apply all over your lips concentrating at the center, using the side of the sponge or a lip brush (I find this easier), squeeze out a bit of the product and define your lips.
  • Try out testers before you buy, the product may look different on your lips as opposed to the color you see on tube.
 Will I repurchase?
Surprisingly...YES!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Shade 02 works well for users with warm skin tone.

Where to purchase and how much?
At local Etude House stores for Php478.00 (approx $11.11)

How to create Lip Gradation or Vivid Full Color

Product details are all in Hangul (Korean)
You see number 2, which means, this is shade 2.

Squeeze type tube packaging with sponge applicator.

A little amount goes a long way.
02 shade is a reddish orange shade.

Before and After
With just a tiny amount of Rosy Tint used, you can see that pigmentation is really good.

As stated on my "Cons" I am (sadly) in the circle of super dry lips, the dryness of my lips showed using the Etude House Rosy Tint Lips but let me tell you, it's not bad!  The Etude House Rosy Tint Lips didn't enhance the look of lines!  It never feels tight or dry even after several hours of wearing.

The Etude House Rosy Tint Lips are highly pigmented and you can instantly brighten up your look even without much makeup on!  A photo of yours truly below wearing only powder foundation, brow powder and Etude House Rosy Tint Lips in shade 02.
