AMW Reviews: Ellana Pressed Mineral Foundation (French Vanilla Latte)

I'm back from 2 days summit at Sofitel Philippine Plaza For Dove.  It was really liberating and fun to be part of the #IamBeautiful movement.  I'll share more details about my experience soon!

Today, I am sharing my review on one of my favorite brand of mineral foundation!  Ellana! 

After finishing up 3 full sized pot of Ellana Mineral Foundation, I can't seem to remember why I strayed!  Maybe, it is because of the fact that I'm a beauty blogger who gets to review various brand.  But the brand has always been closed to my heart, this brand works for me!

Pros

• It's pressed powder!  Very convenient for touch-ups.
• Better packaging, the illustrations are so pretty!
• Gives light to medium heavy coverage.
• Skin looks healthy and bright.  
• No allergies or skin irritations for me.
• Has a  matte finish.
• Non-drying.

Cons

• You have to carry a separate brush or powder puff.
• You tend to waste a bit of powder if you use a brush.

Overall

I missed the swirl, tap and buff but of course, this is very convenient for me to take along during travel!  Ellana Pressed Mineral Foundation works as great as the loose version!  The coverage, effect is really nice so I'm glad they didn't change the quality of their makeup instead, they even improved their packaging!

Tips
from Ellana

• Swirl your kabuki or powder brush on the powder, then shake off the excess. 
• Apply the foundation on your face in circular, motions to get the best coverage. 
• Add more layers on problem areas as needed.  
• This pressed foundation is ideal for oily and troubled skin due to its superior coverage and oil-absorbing properties. It comes in a variety of carefully designed shades to match Asian complexions.

• To prevent powder wastage, use a powder puff or foundation sponge instead during application.
• For heavier coverage, use patting motion.
• French Vanilla Latte would work well on MAC NC20-25 skin.
