AMW reviews: Colour Collection Lip Perfection Lipsticks

It is Mooncake Festival for my fellow Chinese friends!  Happy Mooncake Festival!!!

How was your weekend?  I had a wonderful weekend because as usual, I was busy doing the things I love...working as a makeup artist, a wife, a daughter and a mom to my little Kulit!  Thankfully I was able to squeeze in a quick shot while waiting for my bride for retouch to show to you my favorite lipstick brand, Colour Collection, particularly their Argan Oil brand.  Remember how much I rave about the Lip Therapy?  Well, Colour Collection answered my prayers by creating a lipstick line!  Thanks to my Sampleroom family for sending me the 3 lippies that has been a stable inside my "kikay kit"...yes I bring all 3!  I call this my CC Trio Bundle!  I just can't choose 1 so I always carry 3 and change lip color in between.  (ang arte no?)

As you all know, Colour Collection is part of Tupperware Brands Philippines.  The company is close to my heart because I am finding more and more products from them that I love.  (ex. BabyCare Plus+)

A treatment lipstick infused with Argan Oil for ultimate lip perfection.
Argan oil is pressed from the nut of the fruit of the Argan Tree, which is only found in Morocco. The argan tree lives to be about 150 to 200 years old and does not start producing the fruit until it is 30 to 50 years old. Because the tree is found only in a limited area, the oil itself is quite rare.

• Liquid Gold from Morocco – one of the most expensive oils in the world
• Contains a wealth of nutrients and antioxidants:

Vitamin E (2x more than Olive Oil) – fights off damaging effects of free radicals
Vitamin F – essential fatty acids for skin elasticity
Squalene – powerful antioxidant that maintains skin’s moisture

AMW says ---
Pros

• Applies like a dream on very dry lips.
• Moisturizing power is good.
• Pigmentation is just right.  Not too light or heavy.
• Sheen finish.
• Does not enhance lip lines.
• Lips do not feel dry midday.
• No fragrance.
• Price.
  

Cons

• Because of the soft texture, the lipstick could break!  My Amore broke right in the middle and I was really careful during application. (insert sad face)
• You can't find Colour Collection easily in department stores or beauty stores.
• Reapplication is needed, not that long-lasting as compared to regular matte lipsticks.

Neutral

• Packaging.
  

Overall
A hydrating lipstick that cares for your dry lips in between application.  Pigmentation is just right and reapplication is needed midday.

Tips

• If you prefer a "matte" finish, blot off excess "shine" with a clean tissue, apply 2nd and 3rd layer, blot off excess oil again then set with a translucent powder.
• Apply in vertical motion if you have obvious lip lines.
• Use a lip brush if you want to define your lips but I prefer direct application from the tube as it is more hydrating for the lips that way.
• Store in cool, dry place.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.  In other shades please!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Crema and Bella (I can imagine) may work for all skin tones while Amore is a bit tricky to use because it has a reddish orange base, add up intensity by applying more if you have darker skin tone.

Lip Swatch: Crema

Crema is a perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade, it is close to "nude" because I have pigmented lips but for users with light colored lips, the shade will appear baby pink.

AMW wore Crema

Bella, I would say, is a perfect mid-tone pink lipstick that works well on all skin tone.  The effect is sweet yet if applied more, you get a bit of a maroon-like feel making this lip color unique in its own way.

Based on packaging, I can immediately see that Amore is a reddish orange lipstick that works well if you have fair to medium skin.  Let's say you want to wear MAC Russian Red but you find the color too strong and too dark, go for Bella for I call this the toned-down, glossier version!
