The Body Shop has a lot of good makeup products, from their powder foundation, brow powders, lipsticks and blushes! Oh, let's not forget their concealers and Lip & Cheek tint. It is high time they create a good base to help intensify, or prolong the makeup that works for our weather.
Thankfully, their face primer delivers so I'm super ecstatic to see them broadening their Instablur line! This time for the eyes!
The packaging is almost the same as the All-In-One Instablur but this one is smaller.
Very easy to differentiate the tube for the face and for the eyes.
Very easy to differentiate the tube for the face and for the eyes.
It comes with a sharp "mouth" making it easy to control the amount of product needed. This is more hygienic especially for Make-up Artists like me! But, if we're talking about personal use, we have to admit, the doe-foot applicator is still the best!
The Body Shop says ---
Our first eye primer that works to conceal under
eye dark circles, neutralise redness on the eyelid and enhance the
vibrancy of eye shadow color.
- Yellow tint works to neutralize the appearance of dark circles and redness on the eye lid
- Makes eyes look less tired and more refreshed
- Use under eye shadow to prolong wear and enhance color vibrancy
AMW says ---
Pros
- Packaging.
- Yellow tone: so help conceal some darkness and redness.
- Helps intensify my eyeshadow.
- Eyeshadow stays the whole day without creasing.
- Helps keep my eye are looking more vibrant and lively.
- Creates smooth canvass.
- This product settles in fine lines around the eye thus they are appropriately masked!
- Multi-tasking product - eye primer, concealer and corrector.
- Does not appear dry even on dry lids.
- Though this is hailed as an eye primer that conceals, it won't do much concealing if you have extremely dark circles.
Works really well as an eyeshadow primer as it helps eyeshadow applies like a dream and create crease-proof, budge-proof eyeshadow. The Body Shop Instablur Eye Primer also helps keep the eye area looking brighter and more lively. I would say this comes a bit close to our favorite Urban Decay Primer Potion --- BUT --- not quite! The texture of UDPP is lighter while TBS Instablur has more "cream" texture.
Tips
- Best applied using fingers (in my opinion) but feel free to use a flat synthetic brush.
- Best applied all over lid including brows and undereye area.
- On the lid area, try to apply a thin layer as applying too much may cause some creasing.
- Once signs of irritations occur, stop usage immediately!
- To prevent puffy eyes (which is quite difficult to cover using concealer), use an eye care product that helps give "pressure" to flush off excess water at night when you go to bed. Ex. The Body Shop Drops of Youth comes with an eye roll on.
Yes.
To whom do I recommend this to?
Eye primer users.
Where to purchase and how much?

A little goes a long way!
Prior to Instablur Eye Primer Application
Application technique:
I like to use my finger and gently massage the product all over my lid including the eyebrows.
Then apply a small amount on the undereye area as well.
After:
As you can see, my lid appears brighter and more even with the rest of my face.
What's your current favorite eye primer?
Will you give TBS Instablur Eye Primer a try considering it also gives a bit of concealing effect?
