Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector and Hydro-Plumping Re-texturizing Serum Concentrate

I have always been a fan of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate as it is one product I've tried that instantly brightened my skin overtime!  Read my past reviews HERE and HERE

That was years ago and I guess I got sidetracked with different skincare products to try!  BUT, this year, I was sent Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector to try and I was mum about this because as much as I would love to try this for myself, I never change my skincare routine "abruptly" because of my sensitive skin history!  So I actually brought this along with me on makeup gigs to use on clients!  Just so you know, I value skincare routine so much I inject that on each of my clients!  But of course, I always check with them if they have skin sensitivity to particular brands or ingredients.

One of the most-loved brand that I get positive response from clients is Kiehl's!  I've used the Micro-Blur Skin Perfector serum prior to makeup application and so far, I love the immediate blurring effect it gives.  It may not be as obvious as those Pore Erasing products like that from Benefit POREfessional but this gives a good "headstart" before I start makeup application.

Thanks to my clients' feedbacks, I was told this skin-smoothing formula is lightweight and do not cause them to oil up midday!  Of course, most of the time, I use this on clients only once so I can't tell if this product will help lessen pores in the long run!  I can't try this as I have very dry skin so I have non-existent pores! :)  (yabang no? hahahah)

Thankfully, this does not create white cast even on flash photography!  I was worried so I had to take direct flash photos on clients before I proceed with makeup application.  So far, so good!

Just in case you want pore reducing product, you may want to give this a try!  Available at Kiehl's Boutiques priced at Php1,795.00 for 30ml tube.

Then came a newer product that's meant for me!  The Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate

Just as the name states, this is an anti-aging hydration product that has "moisture magnet" (Plant-based Glycerin) and Shiso Leaf Extract which helps protect the "anchoring" of deep moisture into the skin's surface layers.

What got me excited about this product is the fact that it does not only help double the hydration, after a couple of week's usage, you also see skin texture smoothness by at least 30% and the appearance of fine lines will reduce by 22%!  And the added bonus?  Skin will feel soft and supple after daily use.

More product details from the back of the packaging.

As much as I would love to try this immediately, I will actually use this on my mature-skinned clients as I'm hitting the bottom of my favorite GoodSkin Labs Tri-Aktiline Total Face Instant Line Reducing Moisturizer which I highly use on older clients because it has been discontinued in the Philippines so I need to look for backup products!  I will share more information via social media (@AskMeWhats) when I finally use this product on my clients!

You may find both products at Kiehl's Boutiques located at Alabang Town Center, Greenbelt 5, SM Aura, SM Mall of Asia, Powerplant Mall, Shangri-la New Wing and Trinoma.

Which among the 2 products mentioned would you like to try?

  2. Hello..how can we use microblur? Before or after bb cream? I think microblur is a primer, so we use this product before bb cream. How about your opinion? Thanks
