Yes, FINALLY! The answer to many of my oily-skinned readers' problem!
"I want to achieve the Korean Glow but I don't want to look oily!"
And I finally found the answer through L'Oreal Paris' Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream!
During one of the L'Oreal event several months ago, we were given a chance to pick any L'Oreal product displayed at the counter and the Lucent Magique BB Cream caught my attention big time! The Lucent Magique line has always been a WINNER for me (the Blush and Foundation are both good!) Even though I was told by the SA that the BB Cream is out of stock and all that is left for me to take home is a tester that is almost half done, I shrugged my shoulders and took it home because I like it that much!
After several times of usage, I've finally came up to a conclusion, this product actually works for my oily and combination skinned AMW friends!
L'Oreal Paris' Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream says ---
"The Lucent Magique BB Cream of Loreal Paris Skin Care is the 1st skin-illuminating BB cream. It helps not just enhancing the skin, but making the glow appear it’s a from-within complexion. Its BB capsules help the skin look more radiant that it perfectly blends the skin pigments. This skin-illuminating BB cream also evens the skin tone and skin texture making it look softer."
Important key words --- Skin Illuminating, Glow from-within, Radiance
Housed in a squeeze-type tube, it housed 30ml worth of product, not as much if you ask me, if you are the type who uses BB cream on a daily basis!
As for application, I like to apply ANY BB Cream using clean fingers! Now let's talk about my experience using the Lucent Magique BB Cream.
- At first application, the product is almost white with a cream-like texture! Upon blending, it evolves into a "foundation-like" color blending nicely onto your skin like your own!
- The texture is quite thick and hard to blend. I reckon because for the fact that I have dry skin.
- My skin looks white and this product MAY create white cast on flash photography if not set properly.
- Has light to medium coverage.
- Matte finish.
- Gives a nice luminance and subtle glow.
- If set properly, skin looks healthy even without foundation.
Let me stop blabbing for a moment and show you before and after photos.
The coverage is minimal as you can see some redness and under eye darkness. The after photo was taken approximately 5 minutes after application, you have to let it settle for the product to blend in to your skin and look more natural!

Right Facing you: Barefaced
After testing this product a couple of times trying to make it work, I realized, this product works better on users with oily skin! Aside from keeping your skin matte and dry all day, it gives a nice glow without looking "oily".
Unfortunately, the L'Oreal Lucent Magique BB Cream only comes in 1 shade as this product should "shade match" on its' own. If you have extremely dark complexion, I suggest you apply only a few amount on key areas you would like to "glow" and set the rest with your favorite powder foundation or bronzer!
L'Oreal Lucent Magique BB Skin Luminizing BB Cream is available in all L'Oreal Paris counters nationwide priced at Php695.00 (for 30ml of product).
My oily-skinned friends, would you give this product a try to achieve a nice subtle glow?
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

DeleteThanks for this review! I would definitely try this hehe I kinda have oily skin. May I know if it's long lasting? I use the Maybelline BB Cream and I'm kinda not satisfied with it because when I apply it in the morning, it looks okay but after a while it shows the oiliness of my face :( Anyway, hope this will be the bb cream really for me! :>
