Looking Romantic with 2 Max Factor Make Up

Happy Friday!
It is weekend once again, how time flies!  And I'm sure, some of you are probably off to meet up with friends, have a nice date with the family or your special someone!  On days I don't need to wear a lot of makeup (no event days), my make up routine is very simple!  A touch of blush and lipstick, well, for sure, I'll be adding brow products and a liner --- I'm ready to face the world!

For today's inspiration, I picked 2 new Max Factor products --- the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush and Colour Intensifying Balm.

Let's start with the Creme Puff Blush.  They come in 6 colors with baked formulation.  The product is said to feature a soft, velvet-smooth feel and allows lightweightlook.

Creme Puff Blush
Shade: 05 Lovely Pink.

Judging by the look on pan, I knew there will be a bit of "gold flecks" and pigmentation would be bad.  "It will still show up on me because I'm fair!"  --- that's what I told myself.

The Lovely Pink shade is indeed a baby pink shade with multi-tonal pigments so you really can't tell if you have a pink blush or you just added a layer of highlighter.  The color can be build layer by layer depending on your preference.

At first use, I am indeed not that impressed!  I may not be expecting highly pigmented blush but it took me several application to see a bit of color peeking through.  For the sake of review, I still used this blush for a couple of times because I just love how it looks on packaging.  But to no avail, I felt it doesn't do anything for me.

Giving up, I am ready to review this product with a heavy heart.  Then I asked Mr. AMW to take a photo of me wearing this blush and he went: "oh!  Nice!"  And I said: "What?"

I took one quick look at the photo and finally understood the beauty of this blush!

Lovely Pink is a pale, baby pink blush that highlights and softens my cheeks!  It may not be your usual blush that gives you an obvious color but it does give a nice dimension to your cheekbones!  The best way to apply this blush is by using a small powder brush and apply with a patting motion.

Lovely Pink is perfect for users with fair skin (I believe prettier if you have fairer skin that me!). If you are on the range of medium to darker skin, you may opt to pick deeper shades unless you want a "highlighter" instead of a blush.

Now that I'm happy with how "natural" my blush looks and it is actually a perfect blush to be worn alone or layered on top of a heavy-looking blush to soften the effect, I learned that this blush can also be applied wet to deliver more dramatic color hue or for that ultimate glamorous transformation.  Why didn't I think of that?  Well, I thought of it but I like my powdered blush applied ---dry!

And on days I have heavy eye makeup or lip color, I would actually pick this up for that soft, romantic, skin-brightening effect!

Since my blush is too natural, I will always pick a brighter lip color!  So for this romantic and simple look, I picked Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm in shade Voluptuous Pink.

This is a perfect lip color for girls who like to use bold-colored lipstick but toned down to a "girl-next door" peg.   The Colour Intesifying Balm, just like the blush, can also be built layer by layer for higher intensity.

This lip color slides on my lips (even without lip balm underneath) like a dream. It never settle into  lip lines and does not have that tight and drying feel!  This is a perfect lipstick for girls who want the hydration + pigmentation in one!

There are a total of 6 colors to choose from: Charming Coral, Posh Poppy, Luscious Red, Voluptuous PInk, Refined Rose and Exquisite Caramel.  I can't wait to get hold on to the other shades because they are quite long-lasting considering how hydrating these lipsticks are!

So this is how I would normally look on a weekend!  Medium-thickness brows, a thin liner, a blush and  lipstick to make myself look half-human on a zombie-filled days!  And of course, let's not forget to wear that HUGE smile because that's the best makeup ever!

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush is priced at Php675.00 (approx $15.35)
Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm is priced at Php495.00 (approx $11.25)

They are available locally in all Max Factor Counters nationwide.

  3. I like those shades of blushes when I'm going to formal events. I like to go heavy kasi on the eyes and a barely there pink is the best pair!
