Antipodes is Now In The Philippines!

I first learned about New Zealand Organic Brand Antipodes from fellow Beauty Blogger (also a really good friend) Paris B. of My Women Stuff, she's done a lot of reviews on Antipodes products and I can't help but wanting to try them all!

Thankfully, it didn't take years for me to wait, it's just around a year or so when these landed my desk (literally) via courier one boring day.

Are they really locally available now?  Thankfully, according to my very reliable source, They are!  Antipodes are definitely HERE TO STAY!

Upon seeing the products, I am most interested with the Divine Face Oil --- under the moisture boost line.  I immediately washed my face and gently massaged the oil mid-day, in between phone calls, research and interviews --- wow!  I was immediately relaxed!

So as much as I want to use all 3 products at once --- I didn't!   I chose just 1 from the 3 products I got and settled on trying out Divine Face Oil first and added Anada Gentle Toner the week after!  I'll share more about my first impressions after the jump!

Antipodes Moisture Boost MINIs
Php550.00 (approx $12.50)
Includes: Divine Face Oil Avocado Oil
and Rosehip and Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream

I call this set a perfect starter kit if you are new to the brand!  A perfect set, in my opinion, especially for users with dehydrated skin!  The Divine Face Oil immediately made my skin soft, supple and hydrated even on FIRST use!  It felt a bit too rich on first application but it settled into the skin leaving a soft film on the outside but non-greasy!  This product reminds me so much of the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate but what sets Antipodes apart are their ingredients.  With the rich avocado oil, my T-zone did grease up a tiny bit midday but it was nothing dramatic!  I felt this oil is perfect for in-between facial massage even on top of your make up to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day!

I highly recommend to introduce this product to your skin by using just a small amount and slowly increase quantity once your skin is used to such product.  I felt like applying too much at once may "shock" the skin thus may cause possible skin irritations to extremely sensitive skin users.

On the other hand,  I've used Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream on and off for a week or 2.  I apologize as I can't seem to be very diligent when it comes to Daytime regimen because I always go down on my knees to play and wrestle with my son!  So far, upon first few tries, I can definitely feel the hydrating effect minus the greasy-feel feature.  The cream gets absorbed into my skin in just a few massages and I like the fact that this product includes Manuka Honey, an ingredient famous for their antibacterial property.  This is a day cream that would work even for users with "blemished" skin.  But be careful if allergic reactions occur as different individuals have different reactions to certain ingredients.

Antipodes Ananda Antioxidant-Rich Gentle Toner
Php1,475.00 (approx $33.50)
Next to facial wash, the next skincare product that I don't mind injecting into my current skin care regiment are toners!  I find toners not as "rich" as compared to moisturizers so I gave this a test on one side of my face on the first week.  This is not the usual alcohol-based toner you see in the market, instead, this is a gentle toner that helps moisturize the skin mid-day or anytime of the day!  I've tried application using bare hands in patting motion against using a cotton pad and I like using cotton pad better because I like leaving the damp cotton on key areas that needed the extra boost of antioxidant!  (Sides of my nose, cheeks, etc...).  I am starting to use this as my "base" prior to makeup application to make sure my skin is fresh and ready.

Antipodes Worhip Superfruit Antioxidant Serum
Php1,600.00 (approx $36.26)
As much as I would love to try this immediately!  I just can't for now because serums I find are really rich so I am taking my time keeping my skin "ready" to accept new products before I try this.  The Antipodes serum is not the usual colorless or cream colored serum, instead, the color is dark and has an organic smell.  So yes, I'm a bit wary in giving this a try.  I'll muster up my courage once my skin is done with Shisiedo Ibuki and Shiseido Brightening Emulsion combo.  I will probably insert a bit of this product in between and I'll share my thoughts soon!

For now, feel free to read the review of my good friend Paris B HERE.

Antipodes products are available inside Wellness Connect on the Ground Floor of SM North EDSA Annex.

Ovearll, the brand sounds promising and my first 2 Antipodes experience isn't bad at all!
I wish they will bring here the Antipodes make up line as well!

  1. I've never heard of Antipodes before, but it looks so promising! I'm all about the organic skincare! I'm trying to go green with makeup, but I am limited with the choices here in the Philippines. I'm glad this came! :)

  2. Aww Nikki, thank you for the link! :D I'm so happy you're finally able to try one of my favourite brands in the world! Everything has worked for me very well so far and I hope you'll love them as much as I do. Don't be afraid of Worship. It feels like water on the skin and is so light, without being rich at all. I use it in the day but you can use it day and night and it's amazing for the skin! :D Can't wait to see what you think of it.
