Perfect Way to Retouch Your EyeShadow using K-Palette Shadow Liner

I've been testing all 4 shades of the new K-Palette 1Day Tattoo Essence of Shadow Liners!  I have even created a quick Video Tutorial on SnapChat a week ago and today, I'm ready to share my thoughts and why I hail these liners the best eye shadow retouching product!

There are a total of 4 shades to choose from.
  • 01 Black x Brown
  • 02 Brown Black x Camel Brown
  • 03 Deep Brown x Nude Beige
  • 04 Pink Brown x Nude Pink

They are multi-purpose, dual-ended pen makeup that makes it easy to tote along everywhere you go!  That's why the packaging itself passes my standard for a "quick touch-up" makeup!  A type of makeup product you can easily tote along in any size of bag you carry with you.

01 Black x Brown
Black color liquid liner and a vivid brown color shadow.

02 Brown Black x Camel Brown
Natural Brown Black Color liquid liner and a Bright Camel Brown shadow color.

03 Deep Brown x Nude Beige
A Plain deep brown color liquid liner and a Clear Nude beige colored shadow.

04 Pink Brown x Nude Pink
Delicate Pink Brown Colored Liquid liner and a Sweet Nude Pink colored shadow.

Swatch without primer

This is a perfect example on how I would apply my K-Palette Shadow Liner in the morning before I leave home or even midday as a retouching tool.

Step 1: Prime your lids!
For the shadow powder, I find it is very important to use an eyelid primer to prevent shadow from transferring and also prevent shadow from creasing.

Apply any dark powder shade all over the lid going a bit beyond the crease!  How to know?  Open your eyes, look straight and make sure you see a shadow color peeking!  Do not worry about blending at this stage.

In this tutorial, I used 02 Bright Camel Brown Color (Camel Brown Shadow).

Step 2: Don't forget the lower lashline!
If you want your eye makeup to look more "complete", I prefer to apply the same shadow you applied on the lid to the lower lashline.

Using the same Camel Brown shade, I applied a bit on the outer quarter of your lower lashline.

Step 3: Blend
Once you are happy with the look of your shadow, pick your favorite eyeshadow blending brush and gently blend out ONLY the outer corner of the shadow!

Please do not OVERBLEND as you will end up with not much shadow left on your lid and you will probably do Step 1 all over again.

Step 4:
You may stop on Step 3 and apply liner or in my case, I'll go further by using 01 Vivid Brown Colored Shadow on the crease area not going beyond the line I created earlier!  This will help create "smoked out" shadow effect.

Feel free to blend out harsh edges again but try not to do it too much.

If like me you are doing this as a mid-day retouch, feel free to retouch your liner!  I love all the shades because they are all matte but in various degrees of brown and black.

Final Touch
This step is optional but I like the inner corner of my eyes with the shadow from 03 or 04!  For this tutorial I picked Sweet Nude Pink Color because pink is the best shade to "highlight".

Quick tip: Use sparingly and blend using clean finger.

Just for the sake of using all K-Palette product, I did not apply any pencil liner on the waterline!  But in reality, I prefer to apply a black brown waterproof pencil liner on the outer corner of the lower lashline and waterline to complete the look!

TADAH!

Now on to my thoughts on this unique product from K-Palette ---
  • The powdered shadow side are well pigmented BUT, you have to use an eyelid primer to prevent the shadow from disappearing midday.
  • The applicator of the powdered shadow is very easy to use even for first-timers.
  • The Liquid Liners are waterproof!  The applicator comes in a fine tipped brush, making it very easy to create thin or thick line.
  • The product contains premium moisturizing beauty ingredients which helps take care of your eyes as you use them.
  • As for removal, the powdered shadow is very easy to remove even with regular makeup wipes.  As for the liner, it is extremely waterproof, smudge-proof and smear-proof!
Test: I used a regular makeup wipes and rub off the swatch I did.
All the powder shadow were gone while liquid liner stayed.

I tried rubbing extremely  hard and check out the result.
Amazing!  The liquid liner from K-Palette really stays!

Overall, I like the excellent features of essence-infused eyeshadow and eyeliner.  The shadows may be gone midday without the help of primer but the liquid liner is extremely long-lasting!

If I get to pick just 1 shade to purchase, I'd go for Shade 01!  My favorite from the bunch and I've been using it a lot of times!

The K-Palette Shadow Liners are available exclusively at Rustan's Beauty Source Shangri-La, Makati and Alabang Town Center, Beauty Bar and The SM Store Beauty Section (Megamall, Mall of Asia, Makati and Aura) priced at Php950.00 each.
