GRWM: Event Makeup Look in 30 Minutes Less

 

Hi everyone! 
Gosh, it is almost a month that I last updated here!  Where did the SUMMER VACATION went?

If you follow me on Instagram #ShamelessPlug , you know that my son had his first Holy Communion (for Roman Catholics) and did you know that kids had to attend 3 days Catechism classes while parents need a 2-3 hours session separately? 

We also had a reconciliation day so that covers the whole week of August!  Aside from that, I managed to grab a couple of PR Consultancy opportunities so that kept me super busy as well.  

Anyway, before I go any further about my personal stories, you are probably here for the Get Ready with Me look in 30 minutes less!  Now that you know my schedule, you know that 30minutes is the only available period of time for full face makeup look.

When in rush, it helps to use a pop of color on lips like RED or Deep Burgundy.  A loud lip statement would make your overall look unique.  It looked like you spent a lot of time doing your makeup but in reality, you just did a bit of lipstick swiping!

Sparkly Eyes Makeup Look

 

A quick make up look and I added a tip on how to clean up those fallouts.  After years of being a Bridal Makeup Artist, I mastered the art of “cleaning” because in the eyes of Professional Photographers and Videographers, the skin of their subject must be 99.9% perfect.  

You know why I said so?  I have been called so many times by photograhers and videographers to “clean up” the face of their subject - it could be a smudged eyeliner, lipstick or falling eyeshadow!

So here, I am sharing a quick tip on how to prevent dirty-looking eyes.

Purple Stare Look

 

I haven’t been playing eye makeup for YEARS!

Ever since I grew …ahem..older, as you can see, I have stopped myself from using colors just because….I got lazier, and I felt that the pandemic made it harder for me to enjoy colorful make up.

I have been loving the color Purple because of BTS!  So I’ve decided to make this an Ode to me being an ARMY!

Eyeliner Trick to Lift Eyes

 

“I have droopy eyes”

“Can you please make sure my eyes are lifted after makeup?”

“I have hooded lids!  Paano mag eyeliner?”

These are just some of the many requests my clients sent my way when I was actively doing makeup.  So yes, this tip is based from years of experience and years of perspiring on top of my head hoping my techniques would work on them!  SO far it did, so I am sharing you this finally with photos and a quick video!  

Best of all, I only used 2 products!  YAY RIGHT?

Closer look, my eyes are lifted yet the liner doesn’t look extremely sharp like it’s going to cut anyone passing by!  *lol*

I have to be honest, it is such a huge hassle to edit 2 videos as I uploaded one on IG Video but I wanted one that is in horizontal format for my blog so I had to put it on AskMeWhatsTV Youtube account (Shameless plus, please follow me!).  That said, I. Had to change the music on Youtube postings because of copyright issues so I am too lazy to add up the wordings I manually did on Instagram Video so I will explain the process here instead.

NEW! K-Palette 1Day Tattoo Procast The Eyeliner

I love my K-Palette 1Day Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner so much I have used almost all their “new and newer and newest” versions.

All of them works super well!  I don’t even understand why they keep on improving, I mean, improvement will always be good but I am just amazed how Japanese technology is adamant even on makeup products!

K-Palette recently launched their Procast The Eyeliner under their 1Day Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner line.  

Aside from the change in packaging, expect a sharper tip for the Procast line.  They also come with special coating film that sticks to the skin firmly and moves freely with facial muscles - come to think of it, I tend to have my previous ones disappears on areas that tend to move (ex. Tip of the eyeliner).

Aside from that, the brad promised more vivid colors and has moisture care formula that provides hydration on skin.  

The new collection has 4 shades in total and I got 3 out of 4.

K-Palette 1Day Lash Up Silky Volume vs Silky Length First Try

It is a battle of Volume and Length today!
Well for me, someone with non-existent Asian lashes, there is no battle between the 2 as I use both every single mascara time! 

Either 2 types or Falsies!  End of discussion!

I tried both and found the best way to use these ...well, I stay true to what I've always been doing!  Use both Length and Volume!  I prefer using separate mascaras because it gives a more obvious result!  

Thankfully, based from First Try, the K-Palette 1Day Lash Up mascaras stayed true to their claims of the ff.: 

• Does not clump.
• Weightless indeed.
• Sweat-proof
• Oil-proof (I tried rubbing my oil based makeup remover a bit and it did not remove or scather like normal mascaras)

K-Palette launched their first lip product 2 years ago, I reviewed the 4 shades they released and I find them hydrating enough for my lips I am actually using them until this very moment.  They are housed in a similar packaging and container so I am not sure if they totally phased out the first version or still sell 2 versions, if they do, it'll confuse the hell out of their consumers because they look exactly the same on bullet!  

But let's not worry about that for now as these 4 are right in front of my vanity area for a week plus (and counting!)  That means, I am obviously loving these!

According to BeautyBox Corp., the official distributor of K-Palette here in the Philippines, these 4 shades are made in collaboration with K-Palette Philippines with Filipinas in mind.  That said, I am expecting the collection to have at least 1 red shade, 1 red orange, 1 nude/natural lip color and maybe a pink?

Makeup for Video Conference #AMWIGtv

As much as I would like to be the first one to say: "Just be who you are!"  "You don't need to put on makeup when you have a video call or conference calls with colleagues or boss, they would understand you!"

Well, they would, but let's not forget to still put our best face forward whenever we make video calls!  Same as to what I always believe in, making sure you look good before you face a person means they get the respect they deserve.  Correct me if I'm wrong, some of you may disagree (feel free to comment below), but I believe looking good is not only done to impress other people, but it also made me feel more powerful and confident whenever I face clients or bosses online!

This makeup look I've created is simple and easy to do, I can easily create this look in 10 minutes less and you may opt to create a different version depending on what you're comfortable in.  As for me, the basic requirements are -- Concealer and a bit of color on eyes, cheeks and lips so I feel more alive and can actually transmit energy to the person I am talking to! 

It doesn't hurt to grab a nice top, okay to wear pajamas below but please remember DO NOT STAND UP! :P

Party-Ready Look (Burgundy Make up Tutorial)

I haven't worn full makeup in A WHILE!
