K-Palette Lasting Semi-Matte Lip Tint Sticks Review

Now back to the lip product that made me want to create a full blog post immediately!  I received these last week and tested them non stop for 1 full week before I decided to share my thoughts!  

Say hello to the skincare matte lip tint that I wished for - a MATTE lipstick that I can comfortably wear!

K-Palette launched their first lip product 2 years ago, I reviewed the 4 shades they released and I find them hydrating enough for my lips I am actually using them until this very moment.  They are housed in a similar packaging and container so I am not sure if they totally phased out the first version or still sell 2 versions, if they do, it'll confuse the hell out of their consumers because they look exactly the same on bullet!  

But let's not worry about that for now as these 4 are right in front of my vanity area for a week plus (and counting!)  That means, I am obviously loving these!

According to BeautyBox Corp., the official distributor of K-Palette here in the Philippines, these 4 shades are made in collaboration with K-Palette Philippines with Filipinas in mind.  That said, I am expecting the collection to have at least 1 red shade, 1 red orange, 1 nude/natural lip color and maybe a pink?

I was wrong with my "pink" guess but that's okay, in today's lipstick trend, I don't see a lot of pinks!  Please further scroll down to see the shade I missed!

Though you would expect a super opaque matte lipstick, these aren't!  These are called "semi-matte" for a reason!  They apply like a dream - a lip cream type of texture yet finishes off with a matte finish especially if you give it a couple of minutes to "set".  These are the types of lipsticks dry lips CAN wear --- hydrating enough to glide through your lips without the need for lip balm then the lips would drink up the moisture from the lipstick and leave a lovely color/pigment.  

Yes, I have loads to say about these types of lippies because I have super dry lips so I know what my lips want/need!  That said, the K-Palette Lasting Semi-Matte Lip Tint sticks won my heart!  

It sets demi-matte with a healthy sheen right at the center of my lips (you can see with the swatch photos below!)  The product sits comfortably on my lips even when set and it never settles into dry lines or create flaky-looking-lips!  #ThankGod 

How about longevity?  These lasts through eating and drinking with minimal fading, the gloss/shine disappears first then retouch would probably be needed by 4-5 hours max (if you eat and drink a couple of times plus chat a lot!) 

Thankfully, with the comfort, I don't mind reapplying as it feels like a tinted lip balm with loads of pigment!

Now, this is the time for me to shut my "finger mouths" and let you choose your favorite shade!

01 Paprika Red

the brightest shade out of the bunch.  I love how wearable this is, a start-up red for first time red lipstick wearers!

02 Mauve Crush

This one, I missed this shade!  I just realized after that most Filipinas love the shade of Rose Mauve as their version of PINK.  I mean when I think about pink, I think about bright, cool tone pink!  But this shade is a toned down pink working really well on most warm complexion.  This can be considered an MLBB shade for medium to dark complexion girls.

03 Orange Sunset

For you, and me, who is NOT an orange lipstick wearer, this is a subtle orange lip color that is also known as "Burnt Sienna".  The presence of brown undertone makes this super wearable for Filipinas weather fair or morena skin!

04 Woody Rose

K-Palette kinda tricked my eyes this lip color.  This particular shade can pass up as "NUDE" because of the higher percentage of beige and brown shade.  I am unsure if this hasa hint of "red" or "pink" to it, all I know that the swatch looks "hohum" but once applied on lips, this is by far my most favorite shade of all! Do you agree?

Overall, I am very impressed with this collection and indeed I am proud to say this is my perfect matte lipstick.  Thanks to the presence of Shea Butter and Sodium Hyaluronate (that helps lock in moisture), I can comfortably wear this sans lip balm.
