Ombre Lips Tutorial #AMWIGtv

We all wanted Korean Gradient lips after watching all the K-Drama at some point in our lives!  I have tried it myself so many times but failed!

YES, you read it right --- FAILED.

I have full lips, dark pigmented lips especially on the outline and my lips are super dry as well.  The effect looks unnatural and most of the time, the lip tint at the center of my lips tends to transfer to my teeth.  

Basta, it was a disaster!

So after constantly trying out various ways and means - I finally found the best and most subtle ombre lips so far!  

As requested by some of you over #AskAMW , here you go!  My version of an Ombre lips!

Truth be told, I have a couple of secrets to share why I look fresh and "glowing".  Aside from skincare, I have some secrets up in my sleeves to create that glowing skin look!

I don't usually wear this much makeup, but for Christmas-Party Ready look, I created this one especially for you!  You don't need to use the exact products I used, feel free to explore and try out other brands within your reach!  But I am quite happy with this outcome thus sharing this tutorial to you...in VIDEO form!  Very amateur-ish, but you that's the best I can do to convey my tricks and tips to you!

Though it is starting to rain and goodbye Summer Season, I still find myself finishing up tube after tubes of sunscreen because the sun seems to always take a peek anytime of the day even during rainy season.

And what to expect from the store that brings us so much joy?
A WHOLE LOT OF GREAT Skincare and Makeup products!  I am drooling when I attended their Birthday Party and I can't wait to share my thoughts on some of the items I got!

But for now, I'll just give you an "overview' on what to expect (and what to spend on) when you get inside a Club Clio store!

Let's go per brand shall we?  There's Clio, PeriPera and Goodal!  Let's start with CLIO!

CLIO launched their Pro Layering Eye Palettes and I got the Pink Palette!  Can't wait to play some cute looks with it!

There's also the most-awaited Kill Cover Glow Cushion!  This cushion (I tried on AMW IG Stories) won the hearts of many as you can see my skin glow so naturally!  And please, don't let me start talking about the packaging as it looks gorgeous!



And who would've thought primers could get any better?  The Pre-Step line from CLIO is a must as they have options to choose from!  Peach Tone Up Primer for that glowing skin, Moist Primer for extra boost of moisture before makeup application, a Pore Primer for users with Oily skin.

PeriPera Pearly Nights Ink Highlighter Review

I take my glow seriously, highlighting is integral especially for someone who has fair to medium complexion with sallow skin.  Highlighting just "fakes" perfect-looking skin!

One brand I've been using is called PeriPera.  They came up with their own highlighter from their Pearly Nights collection.  

I got 2 shades to test, I believe there are a total of 3 shades, I'm unsure if they sell all three in the Philippines but I got 2 good colors.

Peripera's Airy Ink Velvet Review

When Club Clio was launched in the Philippines, one of the most sought-after K-Beauty brand aside from CLIO is the fun and trendy younger sister called Peripera.  Peripera has always been known for their bestselling Peripera Ink Velvet Range which I actually haven't tried!  But thankfully, before I grab my hands on these Velvet range, the newest light-as-air lip tint variant called Peripera Ink The Airy Velvet arrived!  I believe this is what I personally would want to use because I have extremely dry lips and I love tints that are non-drying, highly pigmented and soft to touch.

I got to try all 5 shades available locally!

Eureka Moment: Lip Balm To Love

You know how simple our needs are for our lip balms.  They only need to do ONE thing --- hydrate our lips.  

But I've tried gazillion of different brands of lip balms/lip conditioners through the years and all I can say is that, why is it so difficult to find THE ONE?  

Let's establish one thing for now --- my lips are ultimately dry so no matter how much raves a certain brand gets from other Beauty Bloggers, I usually don't get that impressed.  

So during my first visit at Club Clio, the marketing girl from the said brand (Hi Angel!) shared to me how much of a gem the PeriPera Moist Lip Balm is.  She said the magic word that made me grab the the product and put it in my basket without second thoughts: "It hydrates my dry lips so well PLUS it doesn't give me the glossy lips!"  

You know how Matte Lipsticks are the fad of the moment?  Well, as much as I love to wear them every hour and every minute, my dry lips just won't cooperate so I've finally picked this one for the main purpose of letting me ENJOY my favorite matte lipsticks!

Club Clio Store and My Picks!

Hi AMW friends!  You've probably heard, read or even seen Club Clio and here I am, just getting really excited and talking about it!  I'm too late guys!  But better late than never for sure!

I was actually there at the launch of Club Clio but something important came up, I had to head to my mom to take care of her so I've decided to forego the store visit and it finally happened last week!  All thanks to Club Clio PH team for inviting me and for giving me a special store access!

And because I was toured by Angel, I will share to you what I learned about the store and the brands.

Located at 3rd Level, TriNoma, CLUB CLIO houses 3 brands --- Goodal, Peripera and Clio.

Once you enter the store, you'll see at least 4 displays of Goodal products.  Goodal is a clean and natural skincare line and as we all know, Koreans believe in taking care of the skin as top priority.

AMW suggests:
Green Tangerine line for intense hydration.  This line is perfect for those who have dry skin.
Keratin Care for anti-aging.
Premium line, go for Pearl Tone-Up Cream for that intense anti-aging + whitening.
