Biore UV Aqua Rich Light Up Essence Review

An SPF50 PA++++ seems like a bottle of disaster!

That's what I thought when it comes to sunscreen in olden times, the higher the SPF, the whiter the skin and the uglier the white cast!  But coming from KAO Corporation and the brand name BIORE, I've got confidence that this product will be amazing because I have been using their other Biore sunscreen for years!

Check out other Biore Sunscreen reviews ---

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA++++
Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50+ PA++++ Review

This is the latest sun screen from the brand and they get better each time!  The product still contain alcohol based from ingredients but this is NON drying.  I guess the presence of Royal Jelly extract helps!

Biore UV Aqua Rich Light Up Essence Review

I was expecting the texture to be translucent or milky since the term "Aqua" is there but it looks close to the previous Milky product - but this time, it is a combination of milky texture with gel-like consistency.  Once applied on face and body, you get a layer of "white" which disappears after constantly massaging and you are left with hydrated skin minus greasiness, tackiness and white cast!  None of those are there and I like how it felt comfortable and quite "cool" on skin.  This felt more like a day time moisturizer than sunblock!

Biore UV Aqua Rich Light Up Essence Review

Is it effective?  Well, I haven't tested these under the sun like beach but I have used this on errands day under summer sun and so far, I am still using light foundation as of the moment!  Most of all, it works as a good make up base!  My skin felt hydrated and there were days I even cheated!  I only use this sans moisturizer - do not follow me but the lazy bum in me at times won!

Overall, this is another great sunblock to use especially for our weather.  Warm, humid, rainy, sunny JUST PLAIN WEIRD :P

These are just few of my Favorite Sunblock

Sunblock, the not-so-secret Secret to a younger-looking skin!

I used to say “NAH” but after years of constantly using them, yes, I finally agreed!

That’s my problem, I always wanted proofs, so I always make sure to tediously test on products to recommend them here.  I am not writing about beauty products just because I wanted to —- it’s because I really use them and I have lots to say that could help YOU out there.

Thankfully, after COPPERTONE days —- the only sunblock I know and use when I was younger, things and times have changed….sunblock comes in lighter formulation, fast absorbing properties and they smell so good ha!

I shared this on my IG Reels and I am sharing it on the blog today, my top favorite sunscreen brands!

Used all SPF50 sunscreen with different textures for you to take your own pick!

Anessa - A Sunblock for Our Humid Country!

Anessa, a brand under the Shiseido Research and Development center got a huge thumbs up from yours truly especially since I used this for the whole summer 2021!

My brother, who lives overseas and has the same skin condition as I do —- dry on the outside and weird burst of oiliness on random areas of the skin, gave a HUGE thumbs up on this product.  He said it is the most lightweight sunscreen he used and this comes from an Architect who works under the sun for long period of time!

Anessa has the ability to protect your skin from harmful UV rays and keep your skin fresh as it is made with 50% skin care ingredients!

And true enough, both Anessa Gold Milk and Anessa Whitening UV gel has a lightweight, easily absorbed to the skin -texture that felt like a match made in heaven no matter where you live! They are available in a 5% off bundle at Lazada if you want to give these a try.

Have you tried Anessa?

Do you have a favorite sunblock today?

YADAH Oh My Sunscreen Review

Sitting here in front of my work table, I am thinking really hard on what to write (beauty related) as my first entry for year 2020.  Yesterday's post was personal and today is me back with a product review - the thing I love to do most!

As I wrote on my new 2020 organizer reshuffling my thoughts on my future plans, I realized, a soon to be 41 year old self has nothing more to ask for but to be healthy - and that includes having healthy skin!

I know you've read it in so many blogs, heard it a lot on radio and TV commercials, I'm sure you'll give me a huge sigh right now when I tell you I'm writing about Sunscreen - again!

So this 40 year old woman is telling you right now to stop rolling your eyes and at least give this tita a chance to tell you why wearing sunscreen is super important --- Just Joking - I won't!  You know why is it important but what I'm telling you right now is to give this brand a try!

The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Face Mist SPF45 PA++ review

Perfect for the crazy heat, The Body Shop recently added more products under their Skin Defence line.  The Multi-Protection Face Mist which contains SPF45 which for me is not to be used alone but as a great "retouch sunblock" for the face!  Especially for girls who have makeup on!

How easy it is to apply your face sunblock if it's in cushion form?
It is possible with Laneige!  When I was browsing Althea to shop for some unique makeup and skincare items for review, I chanced upon Laneige Marshmallow Sun Cushion.

Innisfree Daily UV Protection Essence (Sensitive) Review

Start of 2019, I was thinking of the best product to feature to jumpstart the year, as much as I'm tempted to showcase a "kick-ass" lippie, or maybe a great foundation with super nice and natural coverage because that's what you all need (I listen friends!)  I want to stress it this year that we are getting a year older (yes, no one can run away from that!)  so the best anti-aging skincare product?

SUNSCREEN!

I am featuring a sunscreen review not to push you to purchase this particular brand or whatever brand I'm using, I'm featuring this as a reminder that everyone of us - Male, Female even kids need the protection from harmful rays of the sun.

Today, I am featuring the newest sunscreen that I'm testing.

Innisfree Daily UV Protection Essence
(Sensitive Variant)
Note: Pick the variant that your skin needs,
they have different sunblock variants from No Sebum to Triple Care, Mild etc...
a photo of Innisfree Daily UV protection essence sensitive SPF50+ PA++++ 50ml review by Nikki Tiu of www.askmewhats.com

I got myself "Sensitive" variant because - self-explanatory.

The packaging is simple, the type of packaging I like in a sunscreen, clean, squeeze-type, easy to tote along and with a pointy tip.  I can easily dispense the right amount of sunscreen needed because I don't want to waste a single drop of this baby!

Innisfree Daily UV protection essence sensitive Says ---

This mild UV protection essence is hypoallergenic tested to be safe enough for sensitive, delicate skin.  The easy-washable formula of this daily sunscreen is conveniently removed by primary cleansing. This inorganic sunscreen is formulated solely with mild ingredients and mineral filter to reflect UV rays on the surface of the skin.

Do You Love The Sun?

I do! Especially since my son's world right now is circling around his "Solar System" and every discussion I have with him revolves around....The Sun and its' planets.

But, do I REALLY love the sun?  In a way, YES AND NO.  Yes because the sun is very important for us to survive but science aside... NO!  I don't like it for the fact that I sweat more than usual and I'm starting to have headache with the extreme heat!

But how to survive the summer?

1. Hydrate yourself.
2. Keep cool (physically and emotionally).
3. Protect yourself from the sun!

Thankfully, I've done numbers 1 and 3 consistently nowadays (wishing I could do number 2 more often!  LOL).  With the help of my favorite beauty store Watsons, I was able to find some goodies that will keep me feeling cheery this summer!

And if you want to feel positive, you don't just need sunblock/sunscreen, you also need to take care the rest of your body (face, hair, etc...)

"Love The Sun" is Watsons' Summer Campaign that puts out the message that one shouldn't be afraid of the sun. With products that protect your skin and hair, Watsons definitely has got you covered!

I personally love the brands Nivea, Belo, Banana Boat, Sunplay, Biore, Neutrogena, Solstice, Beach Hut, L'Oreal, Cream Silk, Pantene and Vitress.

But, there are actually other participating brands you may want to look into --- Banana Boat, Dermplus, Kojie San, Hawaiian Tropic, Cetaphil, Olay, Pond’s, Snow, Celeteque, Thiocell, Shiro, Gluta-C, Vaseline, Veet, Lactacyd, Dentiste, Chic, Bobbie and Body Fantasies.

Here's what can cheer us more!  All SMAC members can get a chance to win a trip for 4 to any of the following destinations: Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Every P500 single-receipt purchase of participating products is equivalent to 1 e-raffle entry to join the promo.

If you want to watch my video on my thoughts on some of the sun care products I've used in the past, visit HERE.

What's your favorite item from Watsons mentioned above?

I've been more addicted to Sunblock lately!  From driving my son to school and all the errands in a lightly tinted car!  I'm starting to see watch lines and shirt lines!  (Not a good sight people!)  So my quest for lightweight face and body sunblock continuous as I use up tube after tubes!

The Suncare Line You May Want To Try!

If there's one type of product that I highly use this year, it would be a bit of a surprise for me to say SUNBLOCK (not lip balm guys!  Sunblock!)

Ever since I send my son to school, drive him and wait for him, I am more exposed to the sun!  I ended up seeing some uneven marks on my skin (watch strap, sleeves from shirts and shorts, etc...)  So I've decided to really invest on various Sunblock brands and use them so fast I can't keep track!

One brand I've used and actually liked is from Celeteque Dermoscience.  Their Sun Care line consists of the Face and Body Sun Defense Spray with SPF50 and Broad Spectrum, the Matte Moisturizer with SPF30 and Broad Spectrum and lastly, my favorite is actually the Skin Relief After-Sun Gel which I use at night!

I believe these came out during summer but I am definitely using them all-year-round!  Thankfully, I like the feel of these products, non-greasy, non-oily and best of all, my uneven skin did not look more uneven after months of driving to and from school!

What's your favorite brand of sunblock for both face and body?
I am currently testing out a different brand after finishing these up!

Esfolio Sun SPF 50+ PA+++ Review

Over the course of 4 months, I was able to finish up 4 tubes of face sunblock because for the first 3 months, I literally wait outside Kyle's school under the sun so I apply sunblock more than usual due to prolong exposure to the harmful UV rays.

One product that really made it to the cut in terms of "feel", texture, comfort is the Esfolio SPF 50+ PA+++ (Php549.00) .

a photo of Esfolio Sun SPF 50+ PA+++ Review

It doesn't hurt that the packaging is so pretty and unique!  Sits prettily at my dresser table.
The reason why the packaging is shaped like a leaf because one of the main ingredient of this product is Aloe Barbadensis Leaf.

Etude House Sunprise Mild Watery Light SPF Review

Ever since Kyle started Preschool, I have been using sunscreens so quickly it's almost like changing shampoo every now and then!  Now I understand why sunscreens have short lifespan because you are supposed to use it daily and you are supposed to apply a good amount and you will definitely use it up in no time!

There are various brands that I've been trying right now, one is from Etude House because I like it that they have cute packaging, they have several options to suit the needs of your skin and I like it that I can choose "Mild" because I always have a clingy son right beside me, so I wanted something light and mild.

Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50+ PA++++ Review

I am very diligent when it comes to sunscreen application on both face and body especially when my son started Pre-K.  Why?  Well, this mom had to wait for 3 full hours outdoors (most of the time, under the sun but hiding under a tree).

So that means, I finish up sunscreen way faster than I finish up my shampoo and conditioner.

During my last Watsons visit, I chanced upon Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk SPF50+ PA++++.  I have tried Biore sunscreen products way back and the experience has always been good!

This time, I picked Perfect Bright Milk because I am always leaning towards skincare products that has brightening benefits!  After hitting the bottom of the tube, what do I have to say?

Biore Says ---

"A lightweight, UV-blocking face milk with oil controlUltra-light, non-sticky milky formula; designed with superior UV protection; contains ultra fine correction powder to address dullness and cover pores; instantly brightens complexion.  Perfect for dull and uneven skin"

Initial Thoughts: Eres Tu Sunscreen and BB Creams

Dear AMW Friends,
I have been trying out so many products ever since I started Blogging and I can't imagine a decade after, I don't think I'm taking a break anytime soon.  There are just so many brands coming in our shores and I couldn't be happier for YOU because you finally have more choices within reach (Watsons reach level lang) unlike my time when I had to do all the trial and error method shopping at Ebay!

As I do my weekly "shopping" for both family needs and MY beauty needs at Watsons, an unfamiliar brand popped right in front of me called ERES TU.  As I was waiting for some free time to Google-A-Friend on what this brand is about, my generous friends from Spark It! gifted me these!

Hello Sunshine to me indeed!

A photo of Eres Tu Products Philippines

Eres Tu is a brand from Korea which specializes in sunscreen and skincare products with anti-aging benefits (Holler Peptide and other active ingredients!).  If you follow me on #AMWIGStories , you'll see that I already jumpstarted getting myself acquainted with the brand by trying out the Sun Perfect UV Ray Protection SPF50+ PA+++ sunscreen.

But of course, the brand offers more!  They've included BB Creams --- Multi BB Cream and Peptide Special BB Cream.

AMWtv: Belo Sunexpert Initial Thoughts

Hi AMW friends!  If you follow me on Instagram and are cool enough to click my IG stories, you've probably seen how often I do initial thoughts/product reviews on products that I'm currently testing, random makeup and skincare tips and a whole lot of life-sharing.  With the positive messages I receive on the short and sweet IG stories, I am more inspired to do more!  And with this in mind, I've finally decided to create AMWtv, nothing special, not a full-blown "Vlogger" for sure but you won't definitely see the last of this video!

Recently, I received a full range of Belo Sunexpert from my Sampelroom family!  Ever since Kyle went to school, I've been using more than the usual sunblock because I wait for him 3 full hours right under the sun so I tend to apply and re-apply more than usual.  So this is a blessings in disguise when I got fresh supplies of my daily sunscreen.

YES, you read it right, DAILY sunscreen because the Belo Sunexpert definitely falls into that category.  They aren't sticky, extremely lightweight and doesn't change the color of your skin tone, and best of all, they work!  So please scroll further down for my initial thoughts video (upon receiving the products) and my in-depth review on each product.

Please be nice to me, this is definitely super amateurish but its done with 101% love!
