Safe Brightening Skincare Products?

 

I'm not sure about you but if you read through my blog, you'll see that I don't use a lot of whitening products.  I started using whitening products for their "brightening" properties and how they have the ability to even out my skin.  I started using such products when companies are making less irritating ones with milder ingredients.  

Of course, I make it a point to slather on sunblock (on both face and body) when I started using such products.

During quarantine, I am more comfortable using these products because I am staying and working from home 98% of the time!  

Derma-C by Poten-Cee.  This skincare brand started with vitamins and I have been taking their vitamins for quite some time.  I am a bit surprised when they came up with their own face masks which I actually tried and liked!  They are not the super hydrating type as they cater mostly to Filipinas with oily skin but these masks aren't drying so I find it nice to include in my face mask stash and use it at least once a week or once every 2 weeks.  

Then their newer product alled Derma-C by Poten-Cee Vitamin C + Collagen Brightening Soap Bar came along and I actually finished 2 bars and didn't see A HUGE difference (which is honestly okay for me as I don't like the stripping kind of soaps!)  This is a gentler, milder version and I like the extra +collagen that came with this bar soap!  This smells good, non-drying and so far, no allergic reactions to be reported.  These are the type of skincare products that can be used by all skintypes and you really need to take time to see obvious results!  

Next, I was sent a stash of Organic Skin products and I used the Anti-Aging Whitening Whip Soap immediately.  These are all natural and are known to be expertly formulated by Japan (as they stated in their Instagram account).  Good news to those who likes to try Halal certified beauty products as these fit the bill and are cruelty-free and FDA-approved.

I am drawn to try their whip soap as I love the foamy texture of using such whenever I take a shower.  It felt luxurious and non-drying as opposed to the other brands I've tried.  And I like the fact that there are no oil-stripping ingredients thus my skin doesn't feel dry and tight after shower.  Thankfully, they also have other variants as there will never be a ONE PRODUCT Fits for all type of skincare!

I have given the rest of the skincare products to my mom-in-law as she finishes up skincare faster than I do and so far she is happily using them with no complaints.

I hailed these safe brightening skincare products for the fact that I tested some of the products and foun NO allergic reactions whatsoever.  Keep in mind that we have different skin types and we may react to ingredients differently so always do a patch test if you are trying out new products (especially skincare!).

Cathy Doll Power On L-Glutathione Ampoule Review

When Glutathione was really a craze years ago, I was just sitting at a corner of the "Beauty Room" sticking to my most normal skincare regimen --- my trustee facial wash and my trustee moisturizer which does not have any other added function except - to hydrate my skin.

Fast forward to today, when Glutathione "anything" is widely accept, I felt like a toddler, just starting out getting to know all about the benefits of Glutathione --- both for internal and external funcion.

If I receive such product, I'll probably throw it straight to my mom-in-law who's really not afraid to try out anything when it comes to skincare as she doesn't have sensitive skin like I do!  But after constant research, this product has been around since 2014 or even earlier!  

The Cathy Doll Power On L-Glutathione Ampoule isn't actually a new product but there was a bit of overhaul in terms of packaging and even Brand Logo!

After trying this out for 24 hours at the backside of my ear and arms, I gave it a go and applied it all over my face!

I haven't really use this for long because I own only a small bottle - too small I had a hard time looking for it in my dresser table BUT, small enough to work as a tester which is also good if you don't want to spend a lot for a full sized product you are unsure if it is effective enough!

For the brand, I am sure there are so many reasons why they packed this in such tiny ampoule bottle --- must retain freshness of the product probably?  I'll talk more about this soon as of now, enjoy the cuteness of the bottle!

What I like about this product is how it can soothe and smooth the dryness of my hands.  I had issues recently with my hands and I treated it with medication thus my hands turn dry and wrinkly.  I took immediate action and use this every single night before going to bed and I honestly wake up with better looking hands.

Initial Thoughts: Seoul White Korea

You've probably seen the launch of Seoul White Korea online a couple of months ago!  Who wouldn't?  Most of my Beauty Loving friends were there!  I was really sad I couldn't make it as I was stuck in a meeting in the opposite side of the Metro.  

But thanks to my Sampleroom family, they sent me a set to try and I've given these products a quick test and what I'll be sharing to you are my initial thoughts as I haven't used them long enough to really give an in-depth review.

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap Review

I posted about Kojie San Lightening Range last month and I got a few more queries on how "effective" the product is.  So for the love of AMW readers, I gave the No. 1 Kojic Acid Soap a try for almost a month and I'm ready to share my experience.

 

It was a timing when I recently had allergies on my arm and I was left with dark spots that doesn't seem to go away (as of speaking, it has already been there for 1 month and I haven't used any medication)!  It was embarrassing on my part since 90% of my job, I get to meet with people.  Sadly, most of the time, I tend to see their eyes wander on my arm and probably wonder if what I have on my arm is infectious or not.  So,  I always choose to wear long-sleeved tops or dresses just to "cover up".  Unfortunately, the weather gets hotter by the day and wearing long-sleeved outfit isn't practical anymore.  I knew I had to do something!

I've always shy away from whitening products, I mean, you would probably agree with me at this very moment.  But, after 3 years of being a mom spending more than half of those 3 years staying on the floor down on my hands and knees, I'm starting to realize 2 things ---

Whitening lotions, soaps and creams... you seldom see me review them on my blog because I always have this notion of using such product just to "whiten" the skin.  Fast forward to almost a decade of blogging, I realized, Whitening Products aren't bad at all!  Especially for someone who is starting to have uneven skin!

It has now been the most asked query on my mailbox on how to achieve healthy, radiant glowing skin!  YAY!  Finally!  I am so happy my readers are starting to take notice the importance of skincare, which by the way, I always stress when I do workshops!
