Weekend OOTD FOTD

 

I may not go out as much but I try to look good and made up whenever I do go out!  This is my most favorite weekend chill outfit from Uniqlo.

This romper comes with a deep pocket and it looks like I'm wearing a top and bottom separately no?  I love the extra cloth that gives an illusion of tuck in and the cloth is quite heavy so it hides my flabs and tummy!

As for my look, I just used concealer, set it with powder foundation and filled my brows especially on sparse areas and a pencil dark brown liner to enhance my eyes.  Finishing off with my favorite Highlighter and Blush from my Hourglass Palette.

Lipstick is Teviant and I love the cool-tone rosy pink giving a fresher vibe.  Do you like my cute earrings too?

Busy Mom-Friendly FOTD and OOTD

 

When you shop online for current fashion trends.  You see a lot of cute cropped tops!  I find these inexpensive yet easy to match with whatever you have in the closet.  More importantly, aside from less than Php100 price points, you get a whole lot of colors to choose from!  Here's a cute top I got from Shopee recently for only Php88.00!

When you wear such top and you are not confident showing your tummy, make sure to wear high waist pants like my maroon flowy pants that I own for many years!  

I also pair this cute top with a nice keepsake from Sacred Elements Jewellery.

It was well paired with a similar earrings that I got with the necklace!  This meant so much to me because Kyle was the one who picked the color combination and design!

Mom Style on Weekends

 

I am most excited when I get to visit my parents on the weekend.  My life was a blur from Mondays to Fridays so having this break is a nice way to fix my focus and fill up my happiness jar.

It used to be me, my husband and Kyle who visits my parents but because of the pandemic, we tried to keep Kyle not away from exposure since a lot of the members in my parents’ household goes out for work.  

That said, I made sure to mask up, the whole time inside the house to protect me and my family!

Wearing masks does not stop me from fixing my brows and apply my favorite lipbalm for this very natural look.  How do you like this?

So anyways, the pandemic will not stop me from visiting my loved ones!  I just pray this will soon be over so we can bond more outside!

Sparkly Eyes Makeup Look

 

A quick make up look and I added a tip on how to clean up those fallouts.  After years of being a Bridal Makeup Artist, I mastered the art of “cleaning” because in the eyes of Professional Photographers and Videographers, the skin of their subject must be 99.9% perfect.  

You know why I said so?  I have been called so many times by photograhers and videographers to “clean up” the face of their subject - it could be a smudged eyeliner, lipstick or falling eyeshadow!

So here, I am sharing a quick tip on how to prevent dirty-looking eyes.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

 

This look was actually done for Chinese New Year.  I wore Red Lipstick from my favorite DIOR and tied my hair up into a curly bun and wore…well…red!  

I’ve decided to share this in time for Valentine’s Day before it is so close to Chinese New Year I find this to be a perfect LOOK for the Hearts’ Day too! 

This is actually a dress which I wore several times on events that requires Cocktail dresses.

FOTD: Back to 90’s

 

When Permission To Dance from BTS dropped, I was addicted to their newest All-English Single.  I love it so much I got inspired to create this hairstyle and makeup look!  Adding up to the overall look, I also wore my all denim number which you can see after the jump.

I ironed my hair giving it a sleek, straighter loook but didn’t go overboard, ruffled the roots of my hair and used Dry Shampoo spray and used a dainty headband that screams —- 90’s!  

I also cut my own hair giving myself some wispy bangs!  It is hard to manage but still made me look at least 2 years younger so I’ll go for the scarifice!  *laughs*

Unang Hirit Guesting Hair, Makeup And OOTD

 

I've guested at Unang Hirit, a Philippine Television News Broadcasting and Talk Show, twice in the past and I was surprised to get another call and I nearly said NO as I originally thought I need to go to their studio.  Thankfully, it was just a ZOOM guesting so I said yes.

What was my role?
A shopping expert!  I was asked to share some tips on items to buy when people head back for travel (long or short haul) after the lockdown or when all of this is over.  I mean, we need to prepare right?  We do not get to leave NOW but we need to start shopping for essentials to prepare us for what will happen soon!

Because it was an early call time, I've decided to create this simple look that I did for less than 10 minutes! 

Yes, if you know your face pretty well, you'll know what to do even at wee hours of the day!  Since I knew it will be on TV, I did a lot of concealing (hello eyebags!)  and a whole lot of hydration.  I hydrated my skin with heavy moisturizer before applying a tinted moisturizer.  Yes, I used tinted then cover some areas with a concealer.

I created fuller brows and did subtle contouring and loads of highlighting to divert attention from my very tired eyes!

As for makeup, I just used a contour powder as an eyeshadow and applyed simple eyeliner minus the exaggerated wing!  Because my makeup or face isn't the focus in this guesting, I want people to focus on what I have to say or the tips I plan to share.

As for my outfit, I knew it will just be a half body shoot but I dressed up anyways, or DOWN?  I was asked to wear neutral colored clothes minus loud brand names so I went for Uniqlo top and a skort so I can still move around and go ahead doing Mom-chores after this TV guesting.

I am on fire when it comes to makeup looks!  

I guess it's the pandemic that made me want to keep myself busy, to do the things I love and want to do so I will keep my thoughts away from the stress of the pandemic.  

I know, some may say: "What? Who would wear makeup?"
ME!

I don't go out, I went out totally 2 times ever since March 2020 but hey, I admit, I wear makeup and fix my hair at home!  You can obviously see that on my IG Stories and posts.  It makes me sane...it makes me happy.  I'm not sure if you feel the same.

Sometimes, I get inspired to create a specific look based from a new makeup item.  Kate Tokyo recently launched their newest lipstick line called Red Nude Rouge and I am loving it!  I usually get inspired to wear a specific lip color based from the eye makeup but it seems like I am more inspired to create this eye makeup look after trying out these exciting red lip colors!

What I Wore at GirlStuff Elite Bloggers' Collection Launch and as a Host

Hi AMW friends!

Remember when I posted on IG that I'm doing my makeup inside the car? Well, it was a very busy day last March 30, 2015!  It was the launch of my nail polish shade from my favorite brand of safe polish called Girl Stuff and the shade is called AskMeWhats (Read about the event HERE).

Aside from me being busy as a "guest" on that day's event, I am also the host and semi-organizer of that said event!  

Can you imagine just how busy that day was for me?  SUPER!

My game plan?  Well, I originally do not want to wear the dress I plan to wear on the event but I don't want to bring so many stuff with me and I'm really not sure if there's a good changing area at the event's place so I opted to go out with a lilac colored dress, Havaianas Flats and tied my hair in a tight bun make-up free as I drove myself to Fort Bonifacio.

Upon arriving the event area and parked my car, I sat inside the car and did my makeup!  It took me less than 10 minutes so everything was okay!

P.S. Give me a hand as I got the chance to take selfie pa! :P

Hi AMW Friends!  Tomorrow, I'll be turning 36!  Eeek!  

So my makeup style nowadays has been centered on faking healthy, flawless and glowing skin!  Because in real life (without makeup), my skin is dull and lifeless from lack of sleep!  I have also been posting "selfies" whenever I attend events with my favorite makeup style!  And some of you dear readers were asking for a tutorial for that specific favorite makeup look of mine! (thank you!)
