Laneige Time Freeze Eye Serum Initial Thoughts

I have always stressed the importance of skincare and eye products like eye serums and creams are no exceptions!  Recently, I tested out the new Laneige Time Freeze Eye Serum and I'll be sharing my initial thoughts and experience.

Laneige Time Freeze Eye Serum is meant to help turn back the clock on your skin (a.k.a. Time Freeze) and it can target and rectify 7 key eye contour aging concerns such as crow's feet, drooping eyes and dark circles which can be an instant giveaway to your age.

True enough, I may have "not-so-bad-skin" considering I'm nearing 40's but my eyes definitely is a huge "giveaway" especially for the past few months that I've been extremely busy and been lacking sleep!   Tired looking eyes, darkness plus obvious lines...definitely a big no-no.

So I tested Laneige Time Freeze Eye Serum for a good 2 weeks period and I'll share my initial thoughts.

Packaging wise, I love the fact that it looks like my favorite Skin79 VIP Gold BB Cream which is extremely close to my heart.  As much as the packaging itself screams super chic and classy, I wish I can see how much product is left though!  Maybe...a transparent strip just to show you how much product is left and when you should start saving up for repurchase?

Now before I blab further, here is a legit question, is there a difference between an eye serum and eye cream?
Just like serums and creams for the face, I believe there is a difference between eye serums and eye creams.  Eye serum is probably an "extra boost" of eye product we can use before we apply our favorite eye creams.  Let's call this as an instant "booster" to help boost the effect of your regular eye creams.

Do you have to use both?  The better I believe but you can also start by using 1 product and see how it goes.  As for the difference between the 2, the most obvious answer would probably be the texture.  The texture of Time Freeze Serum is lighter than regular eye creams, and because of that,  absorption is better with serums.   It takes half the time for serum to gets absorbed into the eye area and it almost felt like nothing was applied!  The texture is 10x lighter and it holds concealer better due to the fact that it fills in the gaps and spaces on fine lines around the eye area.

For application, I always find using my finger to be the best bet and apply with quick dabbing motion to help quicken absorption time.

After 2 full weeks of twice a day usage, I can see that the area around my eye feels more hydrated than before and my concealer applies better.  The skin around the eye feels soft and smooth.  While I don't see drastic reduction of darkness and lines, I do like how my concealer applies better and there isn't much tugging on the part of application!   On a more positive note, I do not encounter much negative reactions from using this product so I'll definitely keep on using this to see if it the product can make me say: "Good bye wrinkles and undereye darkness!"

Laneige Time Freeze Eye Serum is priced at Php2,500 (approx $56.00) available locally at Trinoma, Mall of Asia, Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Aura and SM Megamall priced at Php

Any eye serum/creams you are currently testing?
Do you think you need an eye serum instead of creams?

  2. Ohh the price I wish they have a trial packaging I can't commit on a full sized bottle, I'm hesitant what if it didn't work on me? Anyway, I'm wondering why does skin79 is not here in the Philippines? I hope they could follow the lead of Banila Co.
