Boulangerie 22 is My Heaven On Earth!

I am a bread gal!  (Obviously if you try to touch my tummy, all the carbs go down there!) :P  Well, seriously, I'm a self-proclaimed "Parisian Chic" because I used to eat my meals with just bread on the side instead of rice!  I guess, that's because we were raised in a family of "bread always on the table"!

Even today, I always visit bakeries whenever I visit my mom and dad or my siblings!  We always ended up exchanging bread and pastries --- because that's just the way we are --- our language of love is really through ...ahem..food!

So when I got an invite to an opening of the newest and sweetest bakery in town called Boulangerie 22, I had to whip out my scarf and flowey dress, channeling Aubrey Hepburn minus the shades and pose with my fellow Judenite Jane Kingsu-Cheng!

See that happy and contented smile?  Breads make me happy!  (serious!)

The One Legaspi Park Condominium Branch located at Rada Street, Legaspi Village, Makati was decorated with flowers channeling us to the chic city of Paris.

But don't mistake this to be a French Bakery!  It isn't!  According to CEO of AGC Bakeries Inc., Boulangerie 22 is a fusion of Japanese, Korean, American and French baking techniques.  The bakery boasts classical and modern methods of baking to produce breads and cakes from scratch.

I am not a sweet-tooth gal but I highly recommend trying out Boulangerie 22 French macarons! For only Php39.00 each, you get to devour a nutty taste on the exterior oozing with flavored buttercream.  My favorite flavors are Maple, Chocolate and Green apple!  Seriously, try them all!

The bakery also offers our favorite drinks from Korea!  Can you spot the Banana Milk?

Fruit juices are also there for those who are craving for an instant boost of Vitamin C!  I highly recommend you trying out the Mango Orange variant!  It is extremely good!

Boulangerie 22 also offers adorable collection of Character Cakes such as Lovely Teddy (Chocolate Cake), Mr. Piggy (vanilla chiffon with fresh strawberry buttercream) or if you are a fan of carrot cake, pick What's Up Wabbit Cake!  Each are priced Php699.00 each which is super sulit!

My instant favorite are their mini croissants and please, go for Garlic Loaf if you are a garlic bread lover just like me!

Each bread are freshly made with distinctive flavor.  I am so happy they are all wrapped in plastic making it more hygienic as compared to being exposed!

More yummy breads!

Bread Floss

If you are into spicy food!  Try their Spicy Floss!  They also have other variants like Chicken and Pork Floss!  I've tried them all (not at once!) and they are all MUST-TRY!

And if you think your eyes have seen enough!  There are also yummy cookies (from Oatmeal to Chocolate Chip, Macadamia Nut Cookie etc..) and Madeleines!  Gosh!  Just looking at these add inches on my waist!

And what the bakery boast are their Sourdough breads!  Sourdough breads are distinctive tangy in flavor with roasted aroma!  The lactic acids in the sourdough make vitamins and minerals in the flour more available to the body!  So that is eating with health benefits too!  (I love that!)

French Macarons

Muffins

And since today is my birthday!  I can definitely enjoy one of these!

The branch nearest my home SM San Lazaro will open on  March 1!  If you swing by, you'll definitely see me one of these days because I really can't get enough of their breads and pastries!

  2. I am a sucker for breads too---the good crusty fragrant ones that you slice and toast. I love crusty breads that I can eat with something savory or just plain good butter.
