Are You Ready for Summer Nails?

I have been obsessed with Nail Polishes for the past 2 decades!  Yes, I was in-the-know with what's-hot and what's-not for the digits as early as Freshman High!  Of course, we weren't allowed to wear polishes back then but I remembered getting really exciting during summer season as I can freely experiment on different shades of polishes on all 10 fingers!  (Yes, I tried wearing 10 different colors for 10 fingers!)  Who says I am conservative?  :P

One of the first polish brand I've tried is Caronia, and I'm happy to say, they are coming up with better colors and BETTER finish!  The Caronia Popsicle Collection reminds me so much of my favorite ...uhm.. Popsicle!  I may not be off to a beach this summer or enjoy travel with friends like I normally do, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the heat!  How? By adding a pop of color on my n ails!

All four shades are obviously inspired by the shades of summer --- ice cream and happy food!  There are 2 glossy finish and 2 matte finish!  Tequila Sunrise and Brain Freeze are matte finish while the rest are glossy!  I personally love Peach Perfect on days I want to look "chill" while if i want to add a pop of color, I'd go for Brain Freeze!

Now, if you are into gel polish like I do minus the hassle of going to a salon!  You all know how much I love Solique Gel Polish and how the brand is close to my heart!  But the Beauty Blogger in me has to come out --- I need to test the new and improved volumizing Miracle Gel Top Coat from Sally Hansen.

The look of gel manicure can be achieved by simply applying 2 thin coats of Miracle Gel Color to clean, bare neails and apply 1 coat of the new Miracle Gel Top Coat.  Natural Light does the rest of the job and it is stated that the polish can last up to 14 days!  I will definitely test these out and will post a formal review soon!

Sally Hansen also added new vibrant colors of Miracle Gel called the Tribal Vibe and Boho Chic (some of the polishes are shown on photo above)

  • Tribal Sun is a fiery coral like the setting sun.
  •  Per-Suede is the color of rich reddish leather.
  •  Terra-Coppa melds the gleam of copper with the earthy appeal of pottery.
  • Buffalo Nickel is a cool, classic silver white.
  • Rhapsody Red updates classic cardinal red with a blue undertone.
  • Tipsy Gypsy is a bubbly, bright pink.
  •  Boho a-Go-Go is a deep, creamy eggplant.
  • Fish-teal Braid is an aquatic turquoise.

Sally Hansen is exclusively distributed by Rustan Marketing Corporation and available for only Php495.00 each in leading department stores nationwide.

  1. Revlon Minted is my fave summer nail color. But these from Caronia are worth a try for sure if only they don't chip so easily.

    1. So true, I'm not sure about Chip but max is 5 days!

  2. I also love the peach perfect on my digits (my lady boss love it too).

  3. How does the Sally Hansen Gel compare to the Girl Stuff Gels?
