Latter part of 2015, Shiseido Japan released their 10th Anniversary Collection. I know this because I do my research on make up collections of brands I love from time to time.
Imagine the happiness when I received my very own Shiseido Maquillage Dual Color Rouge 10th Anniversary Lipstick as my birthday gift from Shiseido PH team! (Thanks guys!) Because of that, I hail this my "2016 Birthday Lipstick"!
It is not your usual lipstick because it comes with 2 shades, well, 3 to be exact as you get to mix both shades together and get a different color (my favorite!)
I call this an "Instant Fresh Face Lipstick"! Do you want to check it out how it looks on me? Read on please!
AMW Wore Shiseido Maquillage Dual Color Rouge in Cherry Pink (21) mixed together!
Now, I have to research if they offer other shades! I am unsure if these are still available on local counters but it doesn't hurt to ask!
Other shades to choose from: 22 Strawberry Red, 23 Mango Beige, 24 Passionfruit Rose and 25 Tomato Red.
Do not be confused with these as the Korean Gradient lipticks counterpart. They are totally different. The Shiseido Maquillage Dual Color Rouge offers 2 shades in 2 different textures. The paler shade has light diffusing properties while the other side has more pigment. It may create gradation on the lips but not as obvious as the ones from Laneige.
As on the box, they labeled the Pale shade as 2 and the Darker shade as 1, I did the same on swatch and the ones mixed together I named it "21". Which is your favorite color?
Since I have quite pigmented lips, the gradation isn't as obvious (or maybe I should pick a totally different shade). You can't blame me for hailing this a "Birthday Lipstick" because Birthdays are always FUN and Happy, and I feel that each time I apply Cherry Pink. Just like most Shiseido lipsticks, this contains hyaluronic acid, water soluble collagen and glycerin so I am not surprised how this can make my dry, dehydrated lips look like the best lips in the blogosphere! :P
Follow me on IG or Snapchat as I may wear this lipstick again wearing just the pale version or the dark version! Or maybe create more dramatic gradient lips by applying Lip Primer underneath. Who knows? When it comes to makeup, the possibilities are endless! But overall, I am very happy with the result! And standing "a bit" true to the 6 hours commitment from the brand, this lipcolor does last longer than my regular lipstick. I find it quite impressive considering the creamy texture!
Since this was gifted to me, I didn't get to check the exact price but I believe it ranges around Php2,000-Php2,500. I could be wrong, please update me the exact price if you know girls! TIA
I personally think this is a perfect "Bridal Lip Color" too!
What do you think?
