Baby Bright Plankton Matte Cushion Lip and Moist Tint Review

After the year 2010, my choice of lipstick shades have changed drastically!  I've been leaning on to warmer hues and saying bye bye to all the cool tone lipstick shades!

It just doesn't do justice on my skintone.  Aside from being the "warmest person by nature" *laughs*, I have the warmest skintone and wearing something like a cool tone baby pink shade would lead me looking like a "walking dead disaster".  

No seriously, I do!  And I haven't been wearing that shade ever since MAC Pink Nouveau!

Recently, things might have changed a bit with the difference of lipstick textures.  I chanced upon a brand called Baby Bright.  Although the packaging and name screams "TEENAGER!  Steer clear from this product!"  I gave it a go and hey, I think I can handle this shade...right?

Lioele Lip Color Sticks Review

Lip crayons, the easiest lip product to use because, who doesn't love Crayons?

And best of all, who doesn't love Twistable Crayons?

The first few lip crayons I've tried are mostly like tinted lipbalms, they are highly moisturizing yet has the least amount of pigment.  I love them, but sometimes, I crave for color!  Thankfully, brands are coming up with pigmented lip crayons and one of them is from the brand Lioele.

At first glance, I didn't know these were pigmented, they look like regular tinted lip balms so one swipe gave me a shock! (in a good way!)

Once You Pop, You have to Wear It!

Once I popped my newest Pop Beauty Matte Velvet Lipstick in Pink Porcelain, I thought I'll leave it or give it away because it was too "cool-toned" pink and you know how it looks on a fair-skinned girl with warm undertone ---> SICK!

Thankfully, I was able to pull off such color because my hair looks darker than before, I find it that having light ash brown hair makes it difficult for me to pull off cool toned lip colors, do you feel the same?

Avon Pink for Every Pinay Like You and Me

So I haven't worn pink lipsticks in AGES!

But since March is International Women's Day, I knew we had to celebrate in a way that we celebrate womanhood!  What's the best way to do so?  Where any shade of pink lipsticks because pink represent confidence, energy and femininity.

Avon recently came up with different pinks shades under the Avon True Perfectly Matte Lipsticks and Avon True Ultra Color lines. 

I went ahead and used Avon True Perfectly Matte Lipsticks because matte is still big in this season and guess what, Avon actually passed the dehydrated lips test!  Their matte lipsticks work for me!

When I've done Beauty Training with the brand Flormar, I was given a couple of makeup samples to test before I do the training.  One product that caught my attention is a lip product called Prime N' Lips.  It is said to be new in the market and I gave this a test immediately!

Snoe Rouge Deluxe Exotique Review

I got the SNOE Rouge Deluxe Exotique Lipsticks for months now and I only got the chance to write about these because I am really thinking hard on how to categorize these lipsticks.  

Okay, let me try to simplify everything by saying --- these are locally-made and are good quality (so I'm raising our National Flag proudly here!), these are highly pigmented and comes in shades that are wearable for any skin tone!  All 6 shades I got are wearable I tell you!  I can't pick a favorite and I just make a decision by simply grabbing ANY shade on my "SNOE" basket and I'll know they will look pretty good on me.

Now, on the other side of the coin, you have to bear in mind that I, the reviewer, have extremely dry and dehydrated lips (I've said it a lot of times but I have to remind all of you!), they feather, they crack so whenever I test new products, I test them ALONE and with the help of lip moisturizer or lip balm!

 When I think about Estee Lauder lipsticks, I always think about toned down, natural-looking shades!  They are my to-go-to lip colors for Bridal makeup.  

Who would've thought year 2017 would be a year they turn 360 degrees with a collection of vibrant shades and striking finishes called NEW PURE COLOR LOVE?

 And I love how younger I look wearing these shades!  (Seriously, even if you don't agree, I feel so young wearing them hahaha!)

Max FactorX Velvet Matte Lipstick Review (25 Blush)

It's Monday once again and my extremely crazy week was over...but hey!  Today is the start of Kyle's Pre-K schoolyear so that does not give me the chance to sit back and relax.  All I can do is to create that Excited Feel of having another busy week ahead via black bullet called LIPSTICK.

One of the leading makeup brand that I'm accustomed with --- Max Factor introduced their new lipstick collection called Max Factor Velvet Mattes.  This comes in a range of 7 matte shades with soft and smooth formula which is said to leave the lips hydrated all throughout usage.

That is definitely what I'm aiming for!

The 7 shades available are called Nude, Sunkiss, Flame, Rose, Desire, Love and Blush (which I'm featuring today!)

I did a bit of research on the other shades and I'm glad to announce that this range may contain only 7 shades but it is a wide range of rose hued nudes, orange toned corals and deep raspberry reds.

IN2IT Liquid Matte Lipstick Review (Ravish)

Happy lip product Monday guys!  I'm always excited for Monday posts because it is the best time for me to share to you my new lip product find!

IN2IT is the brand that we forever knew about (especially for Beauty Bloggers like myself!)  The super well-known IN2IT product will always be their powder foundation and that would be a separate blog post about it because I was actually able to try one!  (Finally!)

For now, I am quite happy (and surprised) to know that the brand actually came up with their very own Liquid Matte Lipstick line!  Yes, the Liquid Matte lipstick craze is still here to stay!  The shade I got is 03 RAVISH.

How do you like it?

Now let's talk about the packaging, it's housed in a "normal" liquid lipstick packaging but I actually like the simple design!  It's straightforward (transparent tube) so you can immediately see the color right away!  The lip product details are printed on tube but wordings are extremely small I had to take a photo of it and ZOOM if I needed to check out ingredients, thankfully, the brand included Manufacturing and Expiration date at the bottom portion of this tube which I super appreciate --- THANK YOU!

The doe-foot applicator is actually pretty nice!  I think most makeup companies already nailed the applicator because it gets better as I go on testing new products!  The applicator has 2 flat sides (which I love) and it applies the product pretty smoothly.

My Top Maybelline The Powder Mattes Favorites

A month after the launch of Maybelline Powder Mattes Lipsticks and got to take home all 15 shades!  I finally picked my top 5!  Of course, there will be an explanation on why I picked each shade and how I would wear them!  At the same time, scroll further down to read my honest thoughts on one of the most "lightweight feeling lipsticks" I've tried to date.

 Picking shades right out of the tube may be easy for you but not for me!  They all look so gorgeous on lipstick bullet so I had to actually wear and try all 15 shades before I pick the best one for me!

Be Your Own Make Up Artist With Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip

Before 2016 ended, I had a quick get-together with Make Up For Ever Philippines team and learned they have something exciting to offer comes 2017.  The Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip Lip Paints!

These are liquid lipsticks that are non-sticky, non-drying and have a soft to glossy finish. No matter how non-drying a lip product is, no matter what other Beauty Bloggers say, it always turns out differently on me because of my extreme dry-lipped situation.  So for you, I tested 2 of the shades.

Left: Shade 201 Fuchsia Pink

Right: Shade 400 Iconic Red

Packaged in a squeeze-type tube, it comes with 7ml of product.  It comes with a sponge tip applicator wherein you need to squeeze the product out.  As much as I like the cute applicator, I like to use a separate lip brush in application for hygiene purpose and of course, a more precise application since both colors are extremely bright and heavily pigmented.

Shade 201 Fuchsia Pink is almost a neon pink with cool undertone.  I usually do not look good and look well on cool undertone bright pink lipsticks so I don't even dare wear this alone!  Medium to darker complexion girls may give this a try!  It'll look great on you!

Shade 400 Iconic Red is a bright medium red shade.  It is indeed very bright with a subtle hint of warm orange upon application.

Dearberry Lip Service and Flirt Lipsticks Review

Start of the week once again and I am claiming Monday to be a Lipstick-choice day!  I enjoy sharing my lipstick find on a Monday because this is my ultimate "I'm so lazy to get up day and I want more sleep!"  So the best way to look presentable is whip out the best-looking shade of lipstick that matches your complexion!

Dearberry has 2 new lipsticks called Lip Service and Flirt.

Judging by the look on packaging, Lip Service is housed in a black box and black packaging which translates to a more mature side.  As for Flirt, the name says it all, this line is more playful, girly and just plain....flirty!  The packaging is also housed in a pink tube similar as the box!

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips-Talk in BE101 Review

I have always been honest about how "sickly" I look whenever I wear light-colored lipsticks, especially nudes and cool-toned pinks!  But whenever I browse through lipstick area in makeup stores, I am always drawn to those shades!  I guess at the back of my head, I want to look "sick", no!  Just joking, seriously, at the back of my head, I am in love with this shade and I love seeing other girls where such shades so I want to make it work on me!  

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips-Talk in BE101 was love at first look!  I'm not joking, I literally just twisted the lipstick up from the tube and grabbed one right away!  No swatching, no testing, no nothing!  It was spur of the moment and I trusted my heart.

Ang dami kong drama for a lipstick no?  Sorry na, Monday eh!

I have tried Dear My Wish Lips-Talk lipsticks from Etude House and BE101 have the similar creamy, lightweight, very comfortable when applied on lips texture.  Thankfully, the color is highly pigmented and I get the exact shade from tube applied on lips in just a single swipe!

It doesn't hurt that it's housed in a cute pink tube with a nice silver pink ribbon!  So dainty and girly I don't mind bringing this out and do some retouch inside the ladies' room.

AMW Wears: Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Chiffon

Whenever I go to Lucky Chinatown, the stores I always visit when I would like to take a breather includes Etude House!  Walking inside the store makes me feel like a kid inside a Bookstore (yes bookstore talaga because I'm not a fan of candies)

Then I see a display of Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Chiffon lipsticks modeled by the cute Krystal.  Of course it looked oh-so-good on her I got envious and went on to try these 2 shades myself!  

Any favorites?

The Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-talk has been around for quite some time but I believe the 2016 (Chiffon) version are newly formulated, creamier in texture and definitely friendlier to my oh-so-dry lips!

Maybelline Lip Flush Bitten Lip by Color Sensational Review

Happy start of the week and hoping for a great October for you guys!  To jumpstart the week, I am sharing (yet another) lipstick brand that almost NEVER fail!  Maybelline New York!

Their newest lipstick line is unique, unique in a way that they actually got into the Korean Gradient Lip trend!  I originally thought a "Western" brand won't make it to the cut of creating good gradient lip products, but thankfully, I am wrong!

The new Maybelline New York Lip Flush Bitten Lip by Color Sensational.  This line isn't created for "Korean-looking gradient lips", this line is created for that "just bitten" lip effect that we all love!

Can you pick your favorite shade out of the 4 I got?

I've actually tested all these 4 shades in just a week, honestly speaking, I tested all 4 shades in A DAY and already picked my favorite!  As much as I would like to post my favorite shade ASAP, I actually took a step back and took longer time!  Thankfully, first impression does last!

A Close Dupe for OCC Lip Tars

Just look at my lips!  Super baby pink right?  And guys, it happened in just ONE SWIPE!  And it's not OCC Lip Tars!  They're from a Korean brand called 3CE (3 Concept Eyes) and they are called Lip Pigment!

Shade: Mellow Pink

I actually picked this shade on my first Althea order a few months back!  It took me a while to muster the courage to really wear this because trust me when I say it looks great on photos but quite alarmingly pink in person!  As you all know, I'm into pinks, bright pinks, but not on my lips!  

Is it a bad buy?  Actually, NOT!  I find this a perfect "mixing medium" for my other liquid lipsticks.

I've seen them around Instagram and I like the fact that they are FDA registered and has a website for me to check out the rest of their products (instead of just trying to understand their products on  Instagram.

I was sent their Lip Custard Cream in Winterberry which I immediately "snapped".  Shared my thoughts on how pigmented they look on tube and how it looks almost "nothing" at the back of my hand!

I wasn't complaining guys, it was just a final understand for me that this product isn't called "Custard cream" for nothing!
