Baby Bright Plankton Matte Cushion Lip and Moist Tint Review

After the year 2010, my choice of lipstick shades have changed drastically!  I've been leaning on to warmer hues and saying bye bye to all the cool tone lipstick shades!

It just doesn't do justice on my skintone.  Aside from being the "warmest person by nature" *laughs*, I have the warmest skintone and wearing something like a cool tone baby pink shade would lead me looking like a "walking dead disaster".  

No seriously, I do!  And I haven't been wearing that shade ever since MAC Pink Nouveau!

Recently, things might have changed a bit with the difference of lipstick textures.  I chanced upon a brand called Baby Bright.  Although the packaging and name screams "TEENAGER!  Steer clear from this product!"  I gave it a go and hey, I think I can handle this shade...right?

I love the simplicity of the dual ended packaging.  One side is the twist lip pencil while the other side is the matte cushion lip (powder form).

Swatch: Shade 02 Beach Pink

I like to gently apply the lip pencil part all over my lips blurring out the dark pigmentation of my lips.  I use this just like the way I would use a lip pencil. 



I also like to use this pencil as a blush because it works fine like that!  The effect is subtle and very natural.

At times, I also like to use the powder side as a blush too!  It really depends on your preference but both works as a blush in my opinion.



Now this is my favorite part, the reason why I can wear such cool-tone colored lip product is the Matte Cushion Lip side.  This smooth, pigmented powder-like side gives a nice dimension on lips.  It darkens the pink a tiny bit giving that gradient effect in the most subtle way.  I like to dab this side of the product only at the center of my lips.  This extra step mattifies the lip pencil making my lips look very natural.

I find this color to be worn best with fresh makeup look!  You can either use this alone and use the same product as blush and eyeshadow OR, this lip color would also work for a dramatic eye makeup look!

The product is unique in so many ways!  It mattifies yet doesn't dry up my dry lips!  It gives off a healthy and smooth appearance thus I actually like wearing this on days I want to give a nice "pop" on my lips.
