Quick and Easy Smokey Eye Makeup Using Max Factor

So I haven't done a photo-torial for quite some time!  I'm sorry guys!  So many things have been happening but hey, I'm back!  And today, I'm sharing a super nice eyeshadow palette I recently discovered and love using!  Why?  It makes smokey eye makeup application a breeze!  Here's my 5 minutes eye makeup look.

Smokey Eye Drama KIT
Php695.00 (approx $14.50)

This is called the Smokey Eye Drama Kit, this kit is actually a 2-in-1 Eyeshadow and Brow Powder.  There are a total of 6 Smokey Eye Drama KIT palettes to choose from --- Opulent Nudes, Lavish Onyx, Luxe Lilacs, Magnetic Jade, Azure Allure and the one I got which is called Sumptuous Golds.

They look extremely sparkly on pan but trust me, they aren't when applied on brows and eyelids.  Max Factor definitely "up" their game when it comes to pigmentation and texture.  These are extremely pigmented, and gives out a super smooth and even application, I can actually get away without using an eye primer underneath!

Now let's not even worry about how the shades would go with each other!  In each palette, all the shades can be used together or you can choose just 1, between 2-3 or even use all 4 shades and you won't and will never get wrong with how they would come about!

There's also an expert Brow Powder included: One Gorgeous Light or Dark Matte Shade (spotted on left and right side of the palette) that you can play around and mix with each other to get the desire shade.

For a super quick and easy smokey eye makeup look perfect for both day and night, I've decided to use the following shades and trust me when I say: "It took me 5 minutes less!"  Half of the time was actually spent on BLENDING.

Step 1:
Apply dark brown shadow shade all over the lid not going beyond the crease.  The "crescent" doesn't have to be applied perfectly as we will blend out harsh edges in the next step.

Step 2:
Apply the rose golden brown shade on the harsh edges using the same brush.  Again, you don't need to make it even or worry about blending at this stage.  All you need to do is to apply the desired pigmentation.

Step 3:
Using a clean blending brush, blend out harsh edges and use a pencil brush to apply similar shades applied on the eyelid onto the lower lashline.

Step 4:
Pick any of the light shades (fair skin may pick the lightest one as shown on photo, medium skin gals can use the champagne shadow shade located at the upper center of the palette) gently apply at the inner corner of the eyes to brighten the look.

Note from AMW:  Smokey eye makeup tends to create a "gloomy effect", it is best to apply a tiny bit of highlighting powder to "highlight" and create dimension.

After curling your lashes, apply heaps of mascara!  Thankfully, the NEW Max Factor False Lash Effect Velvet Volume Mascara does not clump no matter how many times you layer the mascara!  It gives a fuller-lash effect with the stiff eyelash effect.

The mascara comes in two shades and I got the Dark Brown one perfect for daytime look!

Final Look
I applied a thin layer of liquid liner just to Complete and set the look.

Truth be told, this is one of the best eyeshadow palette I've tried from Max Factor!  These are newly formulation and I'm looking forward to try their other shades since I had a good experience using the Sumptuous Golds.
