After almost 1 decade of Beauty Blogging, going in a makeup store and look for "what's new" in the makeup and skincare world still excites me. That proves just how much of a "beauty addict" I am and I can imagine myself in my 60's still having this same feeling of excitement like I was only 18!
And I want to share to you the exact feeling I had when I first laid my eyes on Tony Moly's Spoiler line! As I thought my heart was still recovering from the cute Panda's Dream Collection, who would've thought a simple black and pink packaging with a heart would give me so much joy? Seriously, can anyone out there connect with what I'm trying to express here?
And what excites me the most from the Spoiler line is their new Sweet Cushion Blusher which is meant to be used to create a "natural glow" --- again, "natural glow" not to add extra color on your cheeks but to give your face that natural inner glow! Who likes that? I know I do!
There are a total of 3 shades to choose from I picked 2! After using both for more than 2 weeks, I wanted to go back and grab the 3rd shade!
Packaging
The Spoiler Cushion Blusher is housed in a similar Cushion Foundation packaging
with the same flip top cap, a cushion sponge but smaller in size.
Shade 01: Pink Fantasy
I immediately got drawn to this shade as I knew the effect would be almost "invisible" to the eyes! I was imagining this shade to give women of ALL colors the natural glow from within!
Shade 02: Rose Coral
A coral shade would look great on girls with medium to darker complexion, but what drawn me to this shade is the fact that it has a hint of "warmth" to it giving me the color I need on days I look "blah".
Swatches:
2 layers of each shade
The effect is extremely natural!
As for application, I prefer to press one side of the sponge with the blush color. For each cheek, 1-2 presses are enough and you may build pigmentation based from your required look.
I like to press the portion with the blush color from the apples of my cheeks going towards the hair line. The blush application will depend on your face shape, if you have small face, you don't need to extend the blush towards your hairline, instead, you just apply a good amount on the apples of your cheeks.
AMW used Pink Fantasy |
AMW Wore 01 Pink Fantasy
This shade is indeed a game-changer! I never own a blush color with this unique shade! It literally brightened my cheeks and overall complexion I don't even use this as a blush anymore! I actually like to use this alone when I don't find the need to wear makeup. On days I have full make up on, I like to use this as a "glowing base" and top it with a powder blush to keep my blush color stay longer at the same time, looks more natural.AMW Tip: It is very important to press (like stampling) for the color to transfer from the sponge to your cheeks without moving your base makeup.

AMW wears 02 Rose Coral
Rose Coral warms my face! It makes my face looks healthy and (actually) Tanned! This is an instant "warmer". I like how I can actually get away wearing this alone on lazy days and still look made-up!
Side by side, what's your favorite shade?
AMW says ---
- Housed in a very cute packaging I don't mind retouching midday.
- Pigmentation is actually good! Though the effect looks very subtle, I like how I can increase color by adding layers!
- Very easy-to-use. First time cushion blusher wearer won't make mistakes!
- Gives a glowing effect.
- Skin looks extremely healthy and glowing!
- Not as long-lasting as compared to other cream blusher or blush tints.
- Can be used as a blush base or used alone for a more natural finish.
Overall, I will definitely go back and get shade 3 which has a more Orange tone to it (shade name: Peach Orange). Each Spoiler Cushion Blusher is priced locally at Php648.00 (approx $14.40) available in all Tony Moly Stores near you.
How do you find the newest Spoiler Mini Cushion Blusher from Tony Moly?

Stay happy!
I've seen lots of these new cushion blushes but I'm not a fan. I can't stand the thought of a dewy finish and I'm also afraid that as a base my blush might be too strong. Love the idea though and it does look pretty and natural.
ReplyDeletesorry kindly look my reply below! :D
Deleteoh this definitely won't look strong, super subtle and the finish is matte and it isn't oily at all :) give the testers a try! sorry, you just have to try to know :D
ReplyDeleteYou might want to try the cushion blusher from The Face Shop also. The coral shade gives a very natural flush. Not too in-your-face, but not washed-out either. It's also a bit more affordable (P500-plus, i think)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll have a look :D
Deletepink fantasy looks perfect when paired with dainty pink lippie.
