iMagic PROfessional Beauty Lipgloss Review

For a product THIS pigmented, it is illegal to be even called a Lipgloss!
Mind you...I am NOT complaining!

The brand is starting to make its' wave after coming up with several shades that is closed to the wel-known Colourpop, Kylie, etc...  the best part about this review on a start of the week?  It is EXTREMELY affordable and available locally!

Intrigued?  Here's a swatch, just a swipe on my lips and see how it shouldn't even be called a lipgloss, but...I can't call this a Liquid Matte Lipstick either.

AMW wears shade 11

Housed in a tube packaging similar to what you see in most liquid mate lipsticks, I understood why this is called a lipgloss.  But, before I talk further, let me show you some photos on the packaging.

Housed in a simple black box packaging that screams professional.  I actually like the minimalistic design!  I wish their shades aren't just numbers though, I like to have names for each of the shades (but that's just me!)

The doe-foot applicator is a bit slimmer and longer, some may not like this but I find this to be a better alternative as compared to those "thicker ones" because it will be easier to control and create lip definition with a slimmer applicator.

The tube is transparent so you get to see the shade of your lipgloss, perfect if you own a lot!  Nothing too fancy, just regular tube that doesn't make my heart flutter.

Swatch: Shade 11
As you can see just by the mere swatch, the formulation is a bit uneven so be careful during application!  Be careful too especially if you have dry and flaky lips.

Shade 11 is a gorgeous deep plum shade!  I like how it started off as a "glossy finish" lipgloss but it dries up really matte.  I guess that's the uniqueness and "beauty" of the said product.

It is also best for me to mention that, as opposed to most liquid matte lipsticks, it may dry off matte, non-tacky or sticky yet it gives off an illusion of a healthier-looking lips!  Can you see the gloss happening right at the center of my lips?

There is, unfortunately, still a downside, remember how I talk about the uenven formulation?  Well, it does "hug" the dry and flaky patches of your lips leaving an "uneven" look.  This happens especially on me since I have extremely dry lips!

How to deal with such issues?  Best to exfoliate your lips before hand with a damp toothbrush or a soft damp towel.  It is also highly recommended not to apply this product with lip balm underneath as the product may slide off easily!

Dab off excess moisture from lip balm and gently apply IN ONE SWIPE!  Try not to go back and forth as the applicator isn't as soft as other applicator.  Rubbing off several times may exfoliate your lips even more thus creating uneven texture/look.

The product, once applies is still glossy to feel and look so you still have ample time to adjust.  Once dries, it dries off matte and almost budge and transfer-proof ! I would say this lasts me more than 4 hours (with eating and drinking).  It fades off midday but there are still some pigments left hugging onto every inch of your lips!

For the affordable price of Php215.00 (approx $4.50) available online at www.beautymnl.com.  This is a great investment for both professional and non-professional makeup artists and lovers out there!  It is just a bit challenging to use for users with extremely dry lips like I do but for the rest of the world?  This is definitely worth the try!

It doesn't hurt that shade 11 in vampy plum shade is a nice change on my usual "neutral", "good girl next door" look!

How do you like shade 11 on me?
Will you wear such shade?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  1. I love how the name 11 matches the shade. I like the shade but the finish could be more even. I personally won't wear this color because it can overwhelm my features but I think it could be a beautiful shade for nails.

  2. I think I would wear that kind of shade with lip liner underneath that kind of shade is prone to "butt hole effect" lol!
