Esfolio Pure Skin Green Tea Facial Cleansing Tissue Review

I finish cleansing wipes as fast as I finish my "Salted Egg Potato Chips".  *laughs*
Not a good comparison but just so you know, I can finish up a tub in a week so that means, a pack of 20 sheets cleansing wipes, I also get to finish in a week!  That's how much of a cleansing "hoe" I am!
So when it comes to cleansing wipes, I don't discriminate or judge, I use all brands, all sizes, all price range from drugstore to high end brands!  And obviously, I welcome the newest Korean Skincare brand that recently arrived our shores --- ESFOLIO.

That's me with "freshly" removed makeup using Esfolio Pure Skin Green Tea Facial Cleansing Tissue.  As you can see on photo, there's a whole lot of eyeliner left on the waterline, I'll definitely explain why after the jump.

Esfolio Pure Skin Green Tea Facial Cleansing Tissue says ---

"Is known to effectively removes makeup and dirt without irritating the skin. Is composed of green tea extracts to moisturize the face."
Ingredients
Water, Ethanol, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Vigna Radiate Seed Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Cyclohexasiloxane, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methyl Paraben, Allantoin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

Let me start by talking about the packaging.  The packaging is in GREEN with a cute printed design which I appreciate.  But all things cute will end after seeing beyond design and drawings.  I am very particular with my cleansing wipes packaging because some are housed in an almost "useless" packaging where the wipes get to dry up easier than my laundry!

Thankfully, that does not happen with Esfolio, the packaging is thick, the seal is tight thus I was able to enjoy a "wet" and "soaked" sheet til the last one.

The size of the wipes is just right, a bit bigger than my hand but just right to tote along during travel.  There's definitely no leaking (as long as you seal it flat and tight).

Let's talk about the sheet.

Size like a regular tissue, it has the right "thickness" thus I can easily use both sides without tearing them apart.  The sheet is very soft (almost like that of a cotton pad) and I appreciate how "soaked" the sheet is from corner to corner.

The reason why I can finish makeup wipes so easily is because I use them whenever I wear makeup (heavy or light, it doesn't matter).  It is my FIRST step of cleansing especially since I like to hug and kiss my son IMMEDIATELY after reaching home.

I like to fold the cleansing sheet as shown on photo below and start by pressing the sheet gently on my eye area (eyes closed).  I concentrate more on removing my brow products, eyeshadow, a bit of mascara and concealer.

Folding the sheet again to the clean side, I do the opposite eye and leave the rest of the clean space of the sheet for all over my face and (lastly) my lips.

Here's what Esfolio Pure Skin Green Tea Facial Cleansing Tissue can remove ---

As much as I would love to get the MOST of my sheet, I tend to just toss one sheet out and continue by using eye makeup remover or micellar water and deep cleanse with cleansing oil (for heavy makeup) or continue with a facial cleanser (for light makeup application days).

After finishing up a pack, here are my final words ---

  • Esfolio Pure Skin Green Tea Facial Cleansing Tissue is inexpensive for the quality you get.
  • One of the best-smelling facial wipes I've tried.  Tony Moly Fresh Cleansing Tissue is next!
  • Can remove almost all traces of makeup except eyeliner, waterproof brow products and mascara.
  • Try not to remove eyeliner from the waterline (I didn't do so that's why you can see them on photos) is because that area is very sensitive, rubbing with wipes will irritate the eyes and may cause allergic reactions.  The best tool to use to remove eyeliner from the waterline is a cotton bud.
  • The Esfolio Green Tea Facial Cleansing Tissue is also a nice "relaxant".  I use a clean sheet and leave on my face for a couple of minutes if I'm tired midday!
  • You can use the same wipes to pat all over clean face before makeup to make sure excess oil and dirt will be removed before makeup application.

  1. I haven't seen that brand yet but it looks interesting. And since you don't discriminate brand or price wise, I would like to suggest Farlin Baby Wipes (the unscented yellow variant).

  2. I have seen Esfolio in some of beauty bloggers and vloggers IG feeds including you. That is why, I immediately follow their Ig account. Another Korean brand to try, which fascinates most of us in trying specially their skincare line. Anyways, I would to try that facial tissue too or any Esfolio product. I've seen they have wide range of products.
