Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer Review

So I am finishing up concealer after concealers!  I realize, I am turning to be like my big sister (Hi Sister!)  She can't live without concealer and I am starting to understand how she feels!  (All thanks to late night jobs and waking up early morning for Kyle's school!)

That's why when I saw the Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer, I knew I had to pick this up especially since the shade seems exactly what I need!

It comes with a small compact that contains 2 shades of concealer.  The shade I got is called 10 Natural Beige and it comes with a concealer that has more orange base and a lighter version of that on the other side.

Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer says ---

  • Very high coverage of skin imperfections and dark circles
  • shades to perfectly match every skin tone

Swatch
10 Natural Beige
Left side is what I would use to "camouflage" undereye darkness while the Right side lighter shade is perfect to "highlight" the rest of the face.

Here's how I would use or apply the Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer.
Using the darker side which has more orange undertone, I apply a good amount all over my dark circles as shown on photo below.

Once I'm happy with the coverage, I pick a flat concealer brush from Etude House (or any concealer brush you own) and gently brush off harsh edges.  I use quick dabbing motion at this stage to "pack" coverage instead of spreading them.

Using the lighter side of the concealer with a different brush (blending brush), I highlight the areas around my eyes that tend to cast dark shadow.  Apply ample amount on that area and gently spread with a brush.  The stroke must be extremely "light" to prevent "moving" the concealer.

Before and After

As you can see on my half-face result, I was able to "hide" my undereye dark circles at the same time, highlight the area that tends to look dark.

Here's what I have to say about the new Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer ---

  • Packaging is made of acrylic plastic, not flimsy.
  • I like how handy this concealer duo is and I'm glad I get the best of both worlds.
  • If you have dry skin like I do, the product may not spread as easily as we want.  Make sure to hydrate the area before concealer application.
  • Since the concealer comes in 2 shades, you are free to blend both shades too to find the perfect match.  (Trial error is the key)
  • Once set, the concealer stays until makeup removal.
  • Coverage is medium to medium heavy.
Overall, this is a decent concealer, all you need to do is pick the right shade for you!
