The Manila Hotel's Champagne Room Date With Mr. AMW

And this once-in-a-million date deserves a RomCom-like Poster.  Any titles in mind dear AMW Friends?

The Manila Hotel is not just rich in history, it is a hotel that is very close to my heart because I actually went in there so many times during College Days for my HRM (Hotel Restaurant Management) subject.  We had a project wherein we are required to pick a hotel who are willing to do an interview and share to us the job and responsibilities of each department.

The Manila Hotel is one of the most sought after hotel as a "subject" for the whole batch!  I remembered doing everything I can to "woo" the HR Department for them to grant us access and interview each department's Managers.  An impossible task?  Not for me!  I obviously got the access and every time I visit this hotel brought me back to so much "feels" and gives me the goosebumps!  Because hey, I got uno (1) for this particular project!

And nothing beats reminiscing my college days with my high school sweetheart Mr. AMW at the hotel's famed Champagne Room.  Because as much as we can get away with fast food, there are days we just want to chill, enjoy impeccably-prepared dishes in an outstanding ambience. 

To add up the perfect ambience, a talented violinist played both classic and modern song accompanied by a pianist. 

Of course, this fine dining restaurant offers various food choice for diners with impeccable taste!  The Champagne Room offers monthly Degustation Sets and both Mr. AMW and I were able to try this month's specialty.  All organic and freshly sourced farm-to-table, sea-to-form plethora of indulgent selections.  I can literally taste and see that this fine dining restaurant fulfilled their promise of an exceptional dining experience to all their customers.

Autumn Potato Leak Soup

a lovely refreshing taste of Blackberry Sorbet in between to cleanse the palate.

Duo of Channel Bass Fillet and Beef Short Ribs

If you find us heading back to Champagne Room, this is one of the major reason why!  One of the most tender Short Ribs with lots of flavors!  You'll know it was cooked for hours and hours!  As for the Channel Bass Fillet, it is crispy on the outside and very fresh and soft on the inside it almost melts in your mouth!

Bleau D' Auvergne on Polenta Crisp

Apple Filo Strudel

You get a good taste of apple pie with cinnamon inside a crispy wrap!  The warmth of the apple melts the vanilla bean ice cream in your mouth giving it a strong sensation!  I can't help but balance both together to make sure I have both sensation on each and every bite!

Pralines

Ate up everything but both Mr. AMW and I shared each piece just to get the taste of everything!  Not a choco-holic here but loving these because there aren't too sweet!

And each Degustation menu comes with a glass of Champagne, White or Red Wine.

Brings us back to so much dating memories.

I highly recommend the Champagne Room as a nice choice for Private Romantic Dinner, an engagement proposal *insert loads of hearts here*, a date night or simply a family and friends get-together place!  I love the service and how everything is like that of a Fairytale coming to life!  (Maybe, that's how Belle of Beauty and the Beast felt like minus the dancing and singing inanimate objects!)
