The First Make Up For Ever PRO Master Class

So how does it feel to attend the first ever Make Up FOr Ever PRO Masterclass?
I felt like a makeup student all over again!  And learning should always be continuous and I'm glad I still get opportunities like these!

With Phylicia
A warm welcome message from Make Up For Ever's Lyra Importante-Prieto.  This girl makes pregnancy looks so easy and sexy!

Then we were all introduced to International Make Up Artist Marisa Yasa.

I was seated next to the Philippines' Top Make Up Artists!

What did I learned at Marisa's Pro Master Class?  I actually took down notes for YOU!

  • Prepping the skin will always be Marisa's Number 1 priority.  With the help of Skin booster, it is okay to mix products together or use them separately.
  • Make Up For Ever's Skin Booster is one of her top choice in preparing any of her clients' or models' skin.  She applies it using a foundation brush with downward strokes.  After spreading, she gently tap the brush for the product to be penetrated deep into the skin.
  • Marisa likes to use the same brush that she used for Skin Booster to apply foundation.
  • Before tapping out on skin and going straight to eye makeup, Marisa applies Make Up For Ever's Lip Booster on the model's lips to prep her lips.
  • Let's head on to using a Primer, Step 1 is a very important step, according to the international make up artist.  Sometimes she can actually skip foundation application because the primer itself can help correct, mattify, smoothen and correct skin imperfections.
  • For this particular demo, she used 2 Step 1 products, a Moisturizing (on dry areas of model's face) and the Yellow one (to help lessen light redness).
  • When it comes to foundation application, she also uses the same brush that she applied with the Skin Booster and Step 1 Primers and apply foundation.  Her technique is to move the wrist more, not arms.
  • As for brows, Aqua Brows is her favorite and she likes to use an ashy shade.
  • She did a very strong eye make up look which leaves everyone in the room in awe.  I almost didn't take down notes from then onwards!  She uses Aqua XL as an eyeshadow base and used a whole lot of Star Powder.

Everything was so perfect I had to check out the model's look up close!  And I did!

AMW friends, it was even better up close!  I love the glowing skin, the strong eyes yet the model still has a delicate look.  As for the lips, Marisa used 2 lip products, bestselling 301 Coral and 107 which is a nude shade.

And lastly, what I'm most excited about!  The Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte.
A comfortable 30-hour wear liquid lip color and I can atest to longevity.  The swatches I've done stayed until the next day even with 2 showers!
